At the moment there 6.99-7.06 nothing to influence the market except the weather, it being too early for receipts of new crop cotton to have any effect unless receipts show up in large quantities later in month, and meanwhile spinners are only buying from hand to mouth. Crop accounts from all states except Oklahoma and Texas are of the very best, alternating rains serving to keep the plant in fine condition, and recent rains in Texas and Oklahoma will help to improve the situation in the west. If more rain falls where needed, in South- West Oklahoma, it will he a hard matter to hold market, as recent large crop estimates by a Washington authority, 14,425,000 hales will ever haunt traders in cotton as long as values remain above 13 cents for new crop deliveries.
