families on Sally Jessy Raphael show wait until you get a gander at the one in "The Return of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre" One person wears a leather mask and wields a chainsaw Another brute has a weird remoteeontrolled mechanical leg assembled from spare parts Another loves to jolt people with his cattle prod There are others who are living in the decaying family home (if you can call this living) plus some deceased and stuffed (amity members perpetually propped up at the dinner table The movie is a continuation of sorts of the cult classic Texas Chainsaw Massacre" which raked in lots of dough in theaters in 1974 with its bizarre horror tale There have since been two sequels but they were standard hack-and-tlash films aimed at teens The new movie gets back to the weird campy attitude of the original an Independently financed film made with a shoestring budget Things don't always mafa sense and important things go unexplained but thatk part of the nightmarish ambience in this crazed movie with crazy humor Directorwriter Kim Henkel has probably come as close as anyone could to putting a nightmare oo film only this is a nightmare we experience with our eyes open The movie starts out as yet another horror film about teens being terrorized but ends up being something else a bizarre mix ofhig- intensity terror with Colleen McDevitt (503) 220-8262 at 6657 VA Medical shek great at screaming and also at energetically battling the crazies Thankftilly what with all the mayhem there is comparatively little blood and gore Obviously this isn't a movie for everyone But
