Fund Donors A TV PICTURE DOVER Plans have been announced by Dover Fire Company to place a plaque on the wall of the fire hall listing the names of persons who contributed $50 or more to the building fund. This group has donated a total of $19,000. The names of persons wn0 contributed $2 up to $50 will be placed in a register book, which will also display in the fire company hall.

Company officials also reported that the total debt of $96,800 incurred in 1969 with the purchase of a new fire truck and enlargement and improvements to the fire hall, has been reduced to $10,000. JAMES L. STUMP 2, Cub Given fop Award NEW FREEDOM Donald Bortner received the Webelos award, highest in Cub Scouting, and he and Jeff Meal advanced to Boy Scouts at a recent New Freedom Cub Pack 24 meeting. Other advancements were presented to the following: Peter Schlaline, bear book and two silver arrows; Rick Wine, bear book and silver Peter Nealley, Tobert Thompson, silver arrows; Dale Fosbenner, gold arrow; Mark Siebert, wolf book and bobcat pin; Rickie Mitlos, naturalist, out-doorsman, sportsman. The opening was presented by Den 3. Dens 1, 2, and 4 gave skits and all the boys participated in a pony express relay.

Stratton, Damascus, have announced the engagement of their daughter, Carole Ann Stratton, to G. Michael Wert, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald L. Wert, Sheffield Drive, Dallastown RD 1.

The bride-to-be is a 1970 graduate of Damascus High School and is now attending Gettysburg College. A 1969 graduate of Red Lion Area Senior High School, the prospective bridegroom is also a student at Gettysburg College where he is majoring in mathematics. Dallastown Group Installs Leaders DALLASTOWN Grace Myers became the leader of the Dallastown TOPS Countdowners at an installation ceremony in Bethlehem United Methodist church where the group meets each Monday night. Hess, manager of the Stewart-stown Ofnce of National Central Bank, has retired after 45 years in finance and has been replaced by Jesse L. Stump, 40 W. High Red Lion. Stump had been assistant manager of the bank's Red Lion Office. He has been with the bank since 1951.

Hess, whose retirement was effective April 1, spent his entire career in Stewartstown. He started in 1926 as a bookkeeper with the People's National Bank here and in 1959 was an executive vice president and director of that bank. When Peoples National merged with National Bank of York County, a predecessor of National Central, in 1959, Hess was named assistant cashier and manager of Meeting Set Tonight TV and APPLIANCES Loucks Rd. He served with the Army Air Force during World War II. They attend Centre Presbyterian Church, New Park. Stump is a graduate of Dallastown High School and attended Thompson Business College, York. He holds pre-standard, standard and graduate certificates from the American Institute of Banking.

He is a past president and treasurer of York -Adams Chapter, American Institute of Banking. He and his wife, the former Rosemary Ryer, attend Bethlehem United Methodist Church, Dallastown. Blodwyn Harvey, 88, sang a solo at the annual birthday meeting of Circle 1, Women's Society of Christian Service, held recently at Delta United Methodist Church. There were 25 members and guests present for the event arranged by a committee headed by Hilda Kilburn. assisted by Mrs. Ivy Hall and Mrs. Learner Brown.
