Peterson, and Daisy Grout, of the Central District. Mrs. Burleigh Murphy, state president, and Mrs. G. L.

Bissinger, of Peoria, past state president, were also present. National 'Defense Addressing the membership first with regard to the general federaation, Mrs. Murphy said that the time has come for clubs to rededicate themselves to the things for which the federation stands. Not only is it an honor to be a federated member, but the necessity for unity women's clubs is paramount in the world today, she declared. As to women's contribution to national defense, Mrs.

Murphy urged their attention be given to the home, the schools, food supplies, and cantonments. The afternoon program directed by the fine arts department was conducted by Mrs. G. McAlister, chairman, who introduced the leader, Mrs. J.
