--------------------------------------T OS ANGELES, July 12 lS-day diet has Hollywood so firmly in its grasp that every wise hostess these days is ascertaining just how many of her guests are on this grow-thin regime. Imagine one young embarassment after preparing an elaborate dinner of many courses to find that delicacy after delicacy went untouched. Five of her 12 guests were 18-day dieting and could not think of eating rich thick mayonnaise nor creamed soups and certainly chocolate parfait. Her experience has served as a warning to other young matrons. The dinners given in the film colony have been cut down considerably with simple foods such as lamb chops, steaks and lettuce forming the principal food No longer are Hollywood diner parties triumphs of the art.

Culinary skill is rapidly going out of style. The simpler the meal the happier the guest and every hostess wants to feel that her guests are happy and comfortable. Ethel Started It. it all about?
