But you never went alone For part of us went with you. BOURQUE Loretta Agnes Loretta Agnes Bourque passed away peacefully, February 1, 2001 at the age of 94 years. Throughout her life Loretta was deeply devoted to her family. She was predeceased by her brothers Bert and Alban, sister and brother-in-law Phyllis and Charlie Buchanan and nephew Charles Jr. Buchanan.

She is survived by nieces and nephews Daphne (Bob) Beattie; Robert (Mary Ellen), Paul, Roger (Betty), Philippe (Judy) Bourque and Denise Allen. Mary Jean Knopp (Buchanan), Bruce, Melanie, Randy and Cameron (Patti) Buchanan; and numerous great-nieces and -nephews. Prayers and visitation were held Monday evening, February 5, 2001 at St. Mary's Catholic Church. A funeral mass will be held Tuesday, February 6, 2001 at 11 a.m.

McLEAN'S 793-9903 MAXWELL Judy Judy Maxwell late of Chilliwack passed away February 2, 2001 at her home at the age of 64 years. Judy was born January 11, 1937 in Arrow River, Man. and had lived in this area for 20 years.

Judy was a tour coordinator for Rainbow Travel and loved nature, the outdoors and fishing. Judy loved life, travelling and making people smile. She made a lasting impact on everyone she met. A memorial service will be held at the Solid Rock Fellowship Church on February 7, 2001 at 5 p.m. Pastor Tom Halpenny officiating.

passed away February 2, 2001 at the age of 79 years. He was born May 21, 1921 in Stonewall, Man. He served with the Royal Winnipeg Rifles from February 1, 1943 to January 26, 1946 as a Lance Corporal. He served in the United Kingdom and Continental Europe. A funeral service will be held on Feb.

8, 2001 at 1 p.m. at the chapel of Henderson's Funeral Home. Major Angus Haggarty officiating. Cremation, Valley Crematorium, Chilliwack. His love for his family was genuine and Francis is survived by his wife Bernice and five daughters: Carol Lynn Telford of Courtenay; Judy (Walter) Hildebrandt of Abbotsford; Deborah Trotter; Donna (Douglas) Webster and Janie (Gary) Both all of Chilliwack.

Also survived by 16 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; special niece and nephew Larry and Barbara Allan of Richmond and very good friend Gordon Reid of Maple Ridge. The family would like to thank the staff in Palliative Care Unit at the Chilliwack General Hospital for the extended care and compassion shown. Special thanks to Dr. R.B. MacLeod who provided Francis with 34 years of care and attention.

Should family and friends so desire, donations in his memory may be made to the War Amps of Canada. IF HENDERSON'S Francis Robert SUSSEL Dr. Anne Wilhelmina Anne Sussel born in Duren, Germany May 7, 1900. She passed away in her year at Heritage Village, Chilliwack, Jan. 25, 2001.

Dr. Sussel was the first woman 1 to graduate from the medical school of the University of Freiberg, Germany where she attained her medical degree Summa cum Laude. She then went on to specialty training in pediatrics. Anne married Samuel Sussel in 1928 and carried on her medical practice in Mainz, Germany until forced to flee as a result of persecution by the political regime. In 1936, Anne and her husband and two children emigrated to Canada, living first in Edmonton and then moving to Chilliwack in 1940 where the family started farming on McSween Road.

Although farm life was filled with long days of hard work, Anne also enjoyed her interest and devotion to music, literature and gardening. She continued these passions throughout her life. Although her beloved husband Sam passed away in 1979, Anne resided i in the heritage farm house on McSvreen Road ur.til age 88. Due to failing health, Anne was forced to leave her home of nearly 50 years to take up residence in various Chilliwack care facilities. She was a resident of Heritage Village for the last four years.

Funeral services took place January 28, 2001 at the Beth Isreal Cemetery, Burnaby, B.C. Rabbi Charles Feinberg officiated, assisted by Cantor Steve Levin and Rev. J. Marciano. Dr.

Sussel is survived by son, Dr. Walter Sussel, (Beryl) Chilliwack, daughter Hannah Damtoft, Sechelt; granddaughters: Terri, Lynne, Lori, Robyn, Karen, and Mariam. She also leaves behind seven great-grandchildren. This remarkable woman was an inspiration to us all and will be greatly missed by family and friends. We will cherish her forever in our memories.

She was born on May 9, 1907 at Moose Factory, Ontario. Margaret was predeceased by her first husband Johan Lacroix, and her second husband William White. She is survived by her son Lawrence Lacroix and will be fondly remembered by her numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Margaret was a kind and supportive person to those who were in need. She had a keen sense of humour, and she loved to make people laugh.
