Some of the principal scenes which depict life In the early days of the Argonauts and buffalo hunters, show the blgrffest herds of buffaloes In the United States today. ThlB herd is owned by Pawnee Bill, and the pictures for this great production wers taken at Pawnee, where Major Llllie has his ranch. "In the Days of the Thundering Herd" is from the pen of Gllson Willets, and Is one of the most stupendous and tremendous spectacles ever shown in pictures.

The production cost the Sclig Polyscope company in the neighborhood of $40,000.00. Six hundred Pawnee Indians have been used. Over a thousand people appear in the picture and some of the big scenes show an Indian fight surrounding a caravan of schooners, fifty of these vehicles having been especially constructed for this picture alone. These are destroyed In a fire which is vividly portrayed. Bessie Eyton Is the heroine, while Tom Mix does some of the most astonishing riding feats as the pony express rider and buffalo hunter ever photographed.

Major Llllle was very much pleased with the picture, and as the big buffalo bulls roamed in through the pictures he recognized them and called them by name. The major was keenly alive to the interest In the picture, recognizing the Pawnee chiefs and others who take part. The date for release of this great picture has not yet been determined.
