Corn sold for $1.28 a bushel and oats at 88 cents. Mr. Beckman, who with his family have been living on the Alf Schissel farm, will move to Ossian after Jan. 1. BOYS' CLUB ELECTS Decorah—The Pleasant Pushers, Winneshiek county's newest 4-H boys' club, was organized with the following officers elected: Ronald Gavle, president; Wayne Earth, vice president; Wilbur Wilkins, secretary-treasurer; Warren Wise, historian; Richard Anderson, reporter. Jerome Kroshus is leader. Plymouth Man Ready to Report to Fleet Plymouth—Ens. Stanley Willis Dunton, son of D. W. Dunton of Plymouth was graduated Friday as a member of the first class at the naval school, General Line, Monterey, Cal. Garner—Joan Patrick, daughter of Deputy County Recorder Helen Patrick, is expected home Dec. 24. to spend the holiday vacation with her mother. She is attending Colorado university, at Denver. Spillville—Mr. and Mrs. Dean Terry of Waverly were guests at the Dr. H. H. Terry home Wednesday. Nashua—Sidney Hale, manager of the Nashua theater, has returned home after a visit in New York City with his family. His son Harvey is attending Columbia university as a pre-law student. LeRoy, Minn.—Mr. and Mrs. F L. Roy left for a trip to Texas, Arizona and California. Alexander — Mrs. Frc-d Alphs and Mrs. Alfred Jaacks were hostesses to a pre-nuptial shower for Miss Patricia Jaacks at the Alfred Jaacks home. Dumont — Vicky Whitney of Mason City is spending this week with her great grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. George Ahrens. Goodell—Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Jones of Mason City were recent guests in the Sandberg-Hanson home. Meservey — Mr. and 'Mrs. Bill Pope of Mason City visited at the Harm Groen, Sr., home. Ackley — A group of 200 relatives and friends complimented Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Boelman at a post-nuptial miscellaneous shower at the Legion hall. Alexander—Mr. and Mrs. L. R. Bradley and Mrs. Reka Schulte and daughter Marlene took Mrs. Harold Neilsen to Ames where she entrained for her home at Parma, Idaho, nfter visiting the Reka Schulte home. Goldfield—Dr. and Mrs. F. H. Kelly attended a veterinarian's banquet at Clear Lake recently. Plymouth—Mr. and Mrs. Donald Miller of Mason City bought the Greta Holcombe home here and have moved into it. Thornton—Mr. and Mrs. Luverne Miller, Jack and Joan, and Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Ingebretson left for a visit with relatives in Texas and California. Stilsou—The Rev. and Mrs. Lewis Lint, Mr. and Mrs. Terry Long. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Brown and Mr. and Mrs. Omar Everett were in- Clear Lake at a meeting of the Boy Scouts. The Rev.
