Mrs. Herbal, wile of the tote rector of Holy Comforter, was among a group from Texas who at (ended the inauguration of the new Anglican Diocese of Lake Malawi and the enthronement of the bishop. The East African diocese, which had been formerly the diocese of Malawi, was divided. The original diocese had t>ecn a companion one to the Episcopal Diocese of Texas. Other Brazoria County residents and former residents who were al*o part of the group were: Mrs, George Ca rlisle Jr., wife of the Kector of St. Timothy's Kpitcopal Church, Lake Jackvjn, and the Hcv. and Mrs. Bill Stwling, now erf Kriendswood, but formerly of lira import. Following corporate Communion, a business Mattion was held. Success of Ihc recent Mexican Supper was reported and proceeds from U»e event will go to projects at the Churchwomctt.
