The Dixon Evening Telegraph Thursday, June 2, 1955 Page 12 Voice of the People Voice of the people To Whom it may concern. - I appreciate veiy much the facts given us by George Lindquist in regard to Oak wood Cemetary. I yant to say that the old cement block bn:!d:r~ tha: he =a:c5 v?9 tbrn down, was built by subscript ions from Di\«n pp"p'.e *l I do not think that there was any real funeral homes in Dixon and that was to be a chapel and a temporary vault m the basement. I paid Ten dollars towards it. I lemember omy one body that was ever in there foi a few davs. We aie used to heating e\eiy candidate that is up for election telling us how mucn bettei he has done than anyone previous in that office. My mother always told me that if jou did anything worthy of praise people would notice it and praise you foi it but she also told me that self praise stinks I wish to say that Oakwood sure shows that it is in the led or more like a bankrupt concern. I do not blame Jake bnyder as . dO'"g The "P-- **P* *"» can with no more help than he IPentvey'sI STOCK UP WW H t M 1 SAVINGS AM GREATEST! an where that looks a« lotten as Oakwood.
