The trustees were to meet Wednesday to reorganize the district, which is, in the words- of President Campbell," near bankruptcy," but a quorum was not reached when Tolar and Duff failed to attend. Army Spec. 4 Gary A. Rrirmann, son of Paul A. Beirmann. lite. 1. Dow. recently received the Army Commendation Medal while serving with the 19th Engine Battalion in Vietnam. Beirmann earned the award for meritorious service as a bulldozer operator in the Battalion's Company D. His mother. Mrs. Alberta Bcicrmann resides in Jerseyville. Pvt. Daniel G. Morse, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred S. Morse. Carlinvillc. recently completed an eight-week course in light air defense artillery. A ' 10(56 graduate of Carlinville High School, he earned a bachelor of science degree from Southern Illinois University. Pfc. Keith R. Kuimvalt, son of Mr. and Mrs. John A. Zumwalt, Cottage Hills, was recently assigned to the U.S. Army, Alaska supply group in Alaska. He is a 19(58 graduate of Colusa Unified High School, Colusa, Calif. Cpl. Terry L. Quiglcy, whose parents Mr. and Mrs. Leo W. Quiglcy, and wife, Belly, live in Alton, recently received the Army Comm e n d a t. i o n Medal while serving in Vietnam. Quigley received the award for heroism in action while engaged in military operations against a hostile force in Vietnam. He is a 1968 graduate of Alton High School. Pvt. Barrv Haist of Wood River has been promoted to Spec. 4. He is a pharmacist stationed at Darnal Hospital at Fort Hood. Tex. Haist also received Outstanding Soldier of the Month for December from the hospital employes. His wife and daughter reside with him at Lampasas. Tex. Spec. 5 Richard A. Rock son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Bock of Alton has received the flood Conduct medal. He is currently stationed in Thialand. In news of the Air Force. Airman I. C. Randall T. Young, son of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Young of East Alton, has been decorated with the U.S. Air Force Commendation Medal for action in Vietnam. Young distinguished himself by meritorious service as a weapons technician at Plciku AB Vietnam. Young is a 19G8 graduate of Roxana High School. Jerry Rartictt, son of Mrs. Betty Guffey, Venice, has been promoted to staff sergeant in the U.S. Air Force. His wife, Mary, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George J. Knippralh of New Mexico. S. Sgt. Daniel J. Shivc, son of Mrs. Bernice Shive, Alton, has been assigned to Laegu AB, Korea. Sgt. Shive ' is a 19G4 graduate of Alton High. His wife, Diane is also residing in Alton. Kenneth E.
