The York Daily Cheryl L. Kimes Married The double ring candlelight marriage of Cheryl L. Kimes and Eddie Darryl Dean Miller was solemnized July 3 at 6 p.m. at Otterbein United Methodist Church. The bride is the daughter of Mr.

and Mrs. James R. Kimes, 1440 Whiteford Road. The bridegroom's parents are Mr. and Mrs.

Leonard E. Miller, 226 N. Pine St. Rev. Calvin B.

Haverstock MRS. E.D.D. MILLER nee Cheryl L. Kimes pastor, performed the ceremony, which was followed by a reception at Avalong Colonial Dining Room. Given in marriage by her parents, the bride was escorted to the altar by her father.

She was attired in a natural waistline, organza gown trimmed with Alencon lace. Her full, bouffant tiered skirt ended in a long, chapel length train. A crystal pearl crown held her multitiered pearl crown held her multitiered veil. She carried a triangular cascade of white bridal roses and apricot daisies with ivy. Bridesmaids were Debra Haines, maid of honor; Deborah Busser, cousin of the bride; Cynthia Nicely, Johnstown; Deborah Floyd and Mrs.

Jeffrey Knaub. Gail Kimes, cousin of the bride, served as flower girl. John McDonald was best man. Jeffrey Knaub, Robert Wilkinson, Leon Conley and James R. Kimes brother of the bride, ushered.

Ringbearer was Douglas Morningstar. Soloist James Nelson was accompanied by Mrs. George Gross, organist. Mrs. Miller, a 1970 graduate of Central High School, is employed by Koppers Inc.

Her husband is a graduate of William Penn Senior High School and is entering his senior year at York College, where he is majoring in psychology and sociology. He is employed by Topflight Corp. The newlyweds are honeymooning in Williamsburg, and Ocean City, Md. They will live at 1440 Whiteford Road. In the SERVICE Duty In Taiwan Air Force Capt.

M. Steve Shaffer is being accompanied by his family on a two year tour of duty in Taiwan. Capt. and Mrs. Shaffer spent several weeks with his parents, Mr.

and Mrs. M. H. Shaffer, 831 W. King before leaving for Taiwan, June 30.

Capt. Shaffer recently received a master of arts degree in Oriental studies from the University of Arizona. Congratulations on Your Engagement!
