XV, O, circles will meet Dec. 33, Thursday afternoon at the following homes: Patsy with Mrs Roy Jensen and Mrs Fred Dransfeldt assisting. Mrs Eldin Marlow will have ehm-ge of the lesson. A special collection will be taken to buy fruit for Hie needy. Esther circle will meet with Mrs Robert Fortnoy. There will be a Christmas party with a gift exchange for members and children. Mrs Dave Weber will have charge.of the program. The Mary circle will meet with Mrs Fred Genrich with a pot luck. A free will Offering will be taken for underprivileged children. Cedar Rapids Visitors Mrs C. E. Householder and Mrs Woodrow.Pettit accompanied Joe Householder to Cedar Rapids last week where they visited at the John McGowan home. Mrs McGowan has been ill. They returned home Wednesday. Hostess, Idle Hour Club The Idle flout- Club met with Mrs Walter Thompson last Thursday afternoon with Mi's Wallace McArthur assisting. Nineteen members were present and Mrs Warren Thompson, of Swea City was a guest. 'Plans were made lor a 12:30 pot luck dinner, Dec. 18, at the home of Mrs James Cody Sr, Mrs Albert Shaser and Mrs Dale Schroeder had charge of the entertainment. .. •• . Prizes were won. by Mrs Fred Thigges and Mrs Melvin Faber. Lunch was served by the hostesses. Friday evening Mr and Mrs Leslie Johnson and family, Mrs Beulah Gammelgaard took Mrs Ben Johnson of Colton, S. D. to Armstrong to the Vernyn Johnson home after spending several clays here, Mr and Mrs Clarence Ackerson of Wesley ^visited here Thursday evening at the home of their daughter and family, Mr and Mrs Geo. B. Long. Mr and Mrs Hiram Ackerman of:Burt called Thursday evening at the home of Mrs Ruth Krueger. Frank Flaig and Bernard Pelt- it attended a John Deere meeting at Emmetsburg Tuesday evening. 'Darryl Householder returned home Thursday after having been a patient at Fort Dodge Lutheran hospital since Tuesday, Mrs Leslie Johnson and Mrs Carl Peterson spent Tuesday afternoon at Ringsted. Mrs ..Johnson called on Mrs Don Wentworth and Mrs Peterson visited Mrs May Jacobson, Mr and Mrs Lyle Wcisbrod of Fenton and Mr and Mrs Maurice Weisbrod spent Tlmrsday at Minneapolis. Mr and Mrs J. M. Hurlburt of Glidden, la., spent last Sunday and Monday with Mrs Maude Blanchard. Sunday supper guests at the Blanchard home were Mr and Mrs Hurlburt, Mr and Mrs .K-sse Blanchard and family, Mr and Mrs Harlan Bloncharct and family, Mr and Mrs Donald Blanchatd and family. Band Mothers, will meet Tuesday afternoon, Dec. 18th at the hot lunch room. Ringsted basketball team will play Lone Rock here Dec. 18th. Mis Lillie Thompson and Neva Thompson and Mrs Florence Yager were Saturday dinner guests at the James Elsbecker home in Bancroft honoring the second oirthday of their son David. Mr and Mrs Willard Thompson and family called there in the afternoon. Sunday dinner guests at the Elsbeckor home also in honor of David's birthday were his grandparents. Mr and Mrs Leo Eisbecker and family of Bancroft and Mr and Mrs Ralph C. Thompson and LaVonne of Lone Rock. , Mrs Art Zumach, Mrs Herschel Harlman and Mrs Bessie Hartman called Saturday morning on Mrs Woodrow Pettit to help her celebrate her birthday. In the afternoon Mrs C. E. Householder, Mrs Harlan Blanchard and Jonathan, Airs Lem Marlow, Mrs Fred Schmidt, Mrs Chas. Householder and family, and Mrs Erich Seege- barth called at the Pettit home. Mr and Mrs Henry Schroeder visited Sunday .evening at the Sig Orvick home til Elmore, Minnesota. Mr and Mrs Mcrwin Hurlburt were dinner guests Sunday at the home of her parents Mr and Mrs Win. Zumach. Mrs Lloyd Hutchinson and girls called on Mrs Emma Hurlburt in the afternoon. Peggy Pettit and Janet Hammer- Strom spent the afternoon with Rachael and Mary. The latter part 'of the afternoon Mrs Hurlburt and Mary Rachael, Peggy arid Janet called at the Lawerence Rath homo to help Mrs Lawerence Rath celebrate her birthday. Mr and Mrs Dale Wegener and family were tilso at the Rath home. • . . ' Mr and ;Mrs Ronald son spent from Wednesday until Friday at Willmar, Minn. Jean Beth visited during that time at .the P. M. Christenson home. Ann visited with the A. A. Kruegers and Jane Ellen arid Nancy at the E.A. Lee home. Mr and Mrs Dclmar Fischer and family, Mrs Win. Fischer called Sunday afternoon in Armstrong at the home of her parents Mr and Mrs Martin Peterson. Sunday supper' guests at ; the Rose Kraft home were Mr and Mrs Fred. Kulow of Marathon, la.
