Ex-Livermore Resident Is Buried Dec. 5 Livermore — Graveside rites for Charley Hansen, 61, a former Livermore resident, who passed away suddenly at his home in Fort Dodge, was held at Mount Calvary cemetery Wednesday following 9:30 Mass at Corpus Christ! Church in Fort podge. Mr Hansen Was born in Livermore in September, 1895, aiid farmed in this community for many years. He is survived by three sisters and a brother. Infant Baptism* The infant son of Mr and Mrs Dave Coleman was baptized Friday evening at their home by the Rev. Elmer Stelon, pastor of the Zion Lutheran church near Humboldt. Sponsors were Edgar Eilen and Mrs Ralph Stalhorn. He was named Dean Jeffery. Those attending the baptism were Mr and Mrs E. A. Weiss, Mr and Mrs Ralph Stalhorn, Mr and Mrs Art Wolfe and Donnie and Mr ana Mrs Marvin Gronbach of Humboldt and Mr and Mrs Vernon Hohenberger and Ronnie. A lunch was served after the baptism. The infant son of Mr and Mrs Lawrence Fuhrmann, was bap- tized by Father P. M. Sturm. He was named Timothy James. Sponsors were James Feser and Mrs Arlene Lyman of Earling, la.' A dinner was served in honor of the occasion. Others attending were Mr and Mrs Jack Feser of Earling, la., Mrs Lena Fuhrmann and Nick Besch. Several babies were baptized at the Methodist Church here Sunday morning. Christy Lynn, daughter of Mr and Mrs Wallace Houck, Robert Charles Woods, son of Mr and Mrs Charles Woods, and Debra Elaine Chardain, daughter of Mr and Mrs Chardoin of Humboldt. Pastor's Reception A reception was held Sunday at the Methodist church honoring their new pastor, the Rev. Worthy Ushers and his family. Virgil Smith, the lay ieader and chairman of the official board, expressed a word of greeting to the minister and his family in behalf of the congregation. Mr Smith then introduced the various church officers and committee chairman. A twleve-thirty dinner was enjoyed. Following the dinner the Rev. Ushers was presented with several baskets of food from the con' gregation. Dinner guests Sunday at the Alvin Lenertz home were Mrs George Gilbert and Florence Altman of Cedar Rapids and Pete and Lena Altman. Marlene Kelin, daughter of Mr and Mrs Nick Klein, was winner of the $130 given by the Liver- Saved Coins For A Year! A jar full of silver coins, collected over the put year, jut* about paid for a new R. C. Allen adding machine at the Upper pea Moines office recently. Mr and Mrs Harvey Buenger and son> Ronnie, of West Bend, are shown above as they turned in. $80 in silver toward the purchase price of the new machine. The Buengers had wanted an adding machine for a long time and this Was in the back of theii 1 minds when they started saving the silver.
