TM6 BRAZOSPORT FACTS t, TEXftl SUNDAY, NOVEMBER JO, \HS Heart pacing talk subject for medicos Temporary pacing of the heart may be useful for some patients suffering from acute heart disease or other medical problems. Such pacing is done by machines external to the body, either until a decision can be reached to implant a more permanent pacemaker or until the acute illness has passed. Professionals at Community Hospital of Brazosport will participate in discussions of "Temporary Pacing" Thursday beginning at 13:30 p.m. The continuing education seminar will originate from The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and local par- ticipants will communicate with the medical school by mean* of a live, two-way teleconference hookup. The San Antonio discussants will include moderator Dr, Tim Carts, professor of medicine at the center; Dr. Robert Schnttzter, assistant professor of medicine from the UT center.
