Daily Record, Tuesday, Dec. 26, 1972 York area deaths Lockwood L. Anderson Lockwood L. Anderson, 61, husband of Mrs. Hilda A.

Figdore Anderson, 332 East Poplar died at 5:17 p.m. Sunday at York Hospital. Mr. Anderson had worked for the past 30 years at the York plant of Borg-Warner as an assemblyman until last month when illness forced his retirement. He was a member of that firm's 25-Year Club, also the Victory Fire Co.

He was born in York, a son of the late Charles and Jenny Garrett Anderson. He also leaves a daughter, Mrs. George Rupp, 324 East Poplar a son, Emory Anderson, no address known, and four grandchildren. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday from the Eberly Funeral Home, 104 West Main Dallastown.

Officiating will be the Rev. Paul S. Landis, pastor of the Tidings of Peace Mennonite Mission. Interment will be in Mt. Rose Cemetery.

Mrs. Dora V. Smith Mrs. Dora V. Smith, widow of Latimer R.

Smith, formerly of 228 Springdale died Sunday at 5:30 a.m. at the Brethren Home, Cross Keys. She was 85. Mrs. Smith was born at Jefferson, a daughter of the late Joseph M.

and Anne Houser Shue. She was a member of First Church of the Brethren. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Betty Jane Black, Carlisle RD two granddaughters, three great granddaughters, two sisters, Mrs. Elda Bowman, St.

Petersburg, and Mrs. Lyman Taylor, West Palm Beach, Fla; also a brother, Janson Shue, St. Petersburg, Fla. Funeral services will be. held Wednesday at 10 a.m.

at the Dodson Funeral Home, 517 N. George St. Interment will be in Stump's Cemetery, York township. Mrs. Smith's pastor, the Rev.

Curtis W. Dubble, will officiate. Mrs. Holland P. Johnson SPRINGVALE Mrs.

Gertrude Miller Johnson, 74, wife of Holland P. Johnson, Red Lion RD 3, near Springvale, died at 6:10 p.m. Saturday in York Hospital after a two-year illness. Mrs. Johnson was born in Hopewell Township a daughter of the late Rudolph and Ellen Kauffman Miller.

She was a member of Red Lion-Zion United Methodist Church and Sunday School. Also surviving are six children: Mrs. Carl C. Smith, Red Lion RD Barto H. Johnson, Windsor RD Mrs.

Mark Ellsworth, Riverdale, Elwood E. Johnson, 518 West Broadway; Harold E. Johnson, 620 Boundary and Mrs. Dean Olewiler, 174 South Franklin all three of Red Lion; Mrs. Vernon Wilson, Red Lion RD and Mrs.

Maurice Henry, 3301 2, Minton Drive, York. She also leaves 31 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Rudy Diehl, New Freedom. The Rev. Richard G.

Felty, her pastor, will conduct the funeral at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday from the Burg Funeral Home, 134 West Broadway, Red Lion. Interment will be in the Red Lion-Zion UM Church Cemetery. Mary E. Gentzler Miss Mary E.

Gentzler, 60, of 1530 Old Farm Lane, died 2:10 p.m. Sunday at her home. Born in York, she was the of the late Harry E. and daughter Margaret K. Glatfelter Gentzler.

She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Clair Zarfoss, 1530 Old Farm Lane. The Rev. D. Timothy Robinson, associate pastor of the Advent Lutheran Church, will conduct funeral services 10:30 Wednesday at the Strack and Jackson Funeral Home, 1205 E.

Market Burial will be at the Greenmount Cemetery. Freedom area, Mr. Brose was a farmer and was last employed by American Insulator Corp. He was a son of the late Jemes C. and Fannie Gemmill Brose and held memberships in Rose Fire Co.

Thomas Pulliam, pastor of New Bethel Baptist Church, Stewartstown, will officiate at funeral services on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. from the Hartenstein Mortuary. Burial will be at the New Freedom Cemetery. Mrs. Mattie C.

Brown Mrs. Mattie C. Brown, 68, of 440 E. King died at 10:50 a.m. Monday at York Hospital.

Funeral arrangements were incomplete Monday evening. Clyde Woodburn Bear WRIGHTSVILLE Clyde Woodburn Bear, 69, husband of Mrs. Anna F. Bear, 217 Mulberry died unexpectedly at his work at 6:20 p.m. Sunday.

He was employed as a security guard at the Colonial Metal Products Company in Columbia. Born in Wrightsville, he was the son of the late Issac and Bertha Brown Woodburn. He was a member of the Bethel AME church in Marietta. In addition to his widow he is survived by his foster daughter, Teresa Heisey, at home, and a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Easley of Atlantic City.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at the Etzweiler Funeral Home, 700 Hellam St. His minister, the Rev. Mark Green, will officiate. Burial will be in the Mt.

Pisgah Cemetery. Wiley E. Gemmill Wiley E. Gemmill, 69, husband of the late Mrs. Margaret Boyer Gemmill, was found dead Saturday at 7 a.m.

on the porch at his home, 124 S. West St. Deputy Coroner Mrs. Kathryn L. Fourhman attributed a heart illness as cause of death.

A native of York County, Mr. Gemmill was a retired employe of the former J. B. Fishel Baking Co. Surviving are: A daughter, Mrs.

Kenneth C. Breon, 134 S. Highland a son, Donald E. Gemmill, Lancaster; four grandchildren, one great grandchild and two sisters, Mrs. Richard Lucas, 315 Greendale Road, and Mrs.

Richard Abbot, Lewisburg. The Rev. Julian H. Shrader, pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church, will officiate at memorial funeral services to be held from the Dodson Funeral Home, 517 N. George at the convenience of the family.

Burial will be at Mt. Rose Cemetery. John M. Livelsberger WRIGHTSVILLE John M. Livelsberger, son of Russell and Constance Livelsberger, 207 North Front died at birth Sunday at the Columbia Hospital.

In addition to his parents he is survived by three brothers, Russell, Joseph and Daniel, all at home; paternal grandmother, Mrs. Dorothy Hammer, 214 Willow and maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Yohe, Columbia. A graveside service will be held 11:45 a.m.

Pauline Landis Burg, 71, wife of Clarence M. Burg, 735 Priority Road, died Sunday at 12:25 p.m. at Memorial Osteopathic Hospital. Also surviving are a son, Donald H. Burg, Pompano Beach, a daughter, Mrs.

Elizabeth M. Salmi, 225 Margate two foster daughters, Mrs. Betty D. Quickel, 1768 W. Market Mrs.

Janet Decker, Manchester; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two brothers, William Landis, 1604 Monroe Charles Landis, 592 W. Philadelphia and a sister, Mrs. Catherine Neff, 1265 W. Market St. Mrs.

Burg was born in York county, a daughter of the late Calvin and Ida Stonesifer Landis. She was a member of St. Stephen's United Church of Christ. Her pastor, Rev. Uble Frost, will officiate at the funeral Wednesday at 2 p.m.

at the Robert F. Kohler Funeral Home, 200 W. Market St. Burial will be in Mt. Rose cemetery.

Emory E. Reichard Emory E. Reichard, 73, husband of the late Viola R. Miller Reichard, formerly of 591 W. Market died at 11:35 Saturday at Pleasant Acres.

Mr. Reichard was born in York County, a son of the late John F. and Ellen Olewiler Reichard. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a piano stringer by the former Weaver Piano Co. He was a member of Union Lutheran Church.

Mr. Reichard is survived by one daughter: Mrs. Gordon L. Nagle, 1463 Salem Road; two granddaughters; one great-grandson; and a sister: Mrs. Beatrice Kohr, York RD 7.

The Rev. C. R. Ness, chaplain, of Pleasant Acres, will officiate at funeral services at 2 p.m. Wednesday from the Everhart Funeral Home, East and East Market Streets.

Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery. Mrs. Anna I. Fink Mrs. Anna I.

Fink, 452 Juniper died Saturday at 10:20 p.m. at York Hospital, where she had been a patient two weeks. The widow of Landon J. Fink, she was 75. Mrs.

Fink was born in York, a daughter of the late Gustave and Charlotte Sonneman Mehl. She was a member of First St. John's Lutheran Church. Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Alma Decker, a guest at Barley Convalescent Home; Mrs.

Catherine Breneman, 70 N. Emig's Mill road, and Mrs. Marie Shenk, 257 Jefferson also a niece, Mrs. Charlotte Ehrman, who was raised by the Fink family. The funeral will be held Thursday at 2 p.m.

at the William E. Small Funeral Home, Roosevelt 'and Madison Avenues. Interment will be in Mt. Rose Cemetery. The Rev.

Raymond C. Huddle, Mrs. Fink's pastor, will officiate. Mrs. Flora Oliphant MT.

WOLF Mrs. Flora E. Cox Oliphant, of Mt. Wolf, died Sunday at 1:45 a.m. at Yorkview Convalescent and Nursing Home at the of 82.

She was the widow of age George C. Oliphant. Mrs. Oliphant was born at Leisureville, W. a daughter of the late Frederick and Lulu Cox and had been a resident of Mt.

Wolf for 35 years. She is survived by two children, Mrs. Thelma Chandler, Angola, Glenn Oliphant, Mt. Wolf; four grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Jennie Dove, Angola, and Mrs.

Mae High, Alexandra, Ind. The Rev. John L. Kugle, pastor of Quickel's Lutheran Church, Zion View, will officiate at funeral services at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Manchester.

Nettie Henize, Williamsburg; Mrs. Viola Meyers, New Richmond, and Mrs. Maggie Meyers, Batavia, all in Ohio; three brothers, Robert Riley, Owensville, and John Riley, Amelia, both in Ohio, and Herbert Riley, Shrewsbury; a foster sister, Mrs. Edith L. Andrews, Goshen, and a foster brother, Marion Hobson, Sabina, both in Ohio.

The Rev. Thomas E. Alderton, Silver Spring, a retired Baptist minister and father-in-law of Mrs. Alderton, will officiate at the funeral services today at 2 p.m. from the Hartenstein Mortuary, New Freedom.

Whilmina C. Olewiler Graham, Wrightsville RD 1, near Craley, died at 10:20 a.m. Sunday at York Hospital after an illness of five months. Mr. Graham was a member of Free Gospel Church, Springville, and was employed by C.C.

Kottcamp and Son, York, as an electric welder. He was born in Lower Windsor Twonship, a son of the late George W. and Lydia Olewiler Graham. Also survving are these brothers and sisters: Mrs. Mary Ruby, Clyde C.

Sunday at York Hospital. He entered the hospital last week after suffering a stroke. A Glen Rock resident for 50 years, he was born in Virginia. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs.

Logan R. Lackey. He was a member of the Jerusalem Fissel's congregation. He is survived by five children, Mrs. Nellie Bubb Kreiger, 136 Manchester George W.
