1 The York Daily Record, Tuesday Morning, October 19, 1971 area deaths Sherrell K. Stone, Robert S. Vipond, typesetting firm partner in recap head, dead at 58 tire firm, dies Sherrell K. Stone, 58, husband of Joan S. Stone, of 1805 East died at 12:55 p.m., Monday at Memorial Osteopathic Hospital.

Dr. John J. McLaughlin, chief deputy coroner, said Mr. Stone suffered a heart attack at his home. He was born in York, a son of the late Walter and Mary Dennes Stone.

He was the owner of the Quality Typesetting Service, Windsor Park, and a member of the Pleasureville United Methodist Church. He was also a member of the Springettsbury Lions Club, the 12th Ward Democratic Club, the 13th Ward Political Club, York Chapter, International Association of Printing House Craftsmen, and the York Riflemen. He was a trustee of Friendship Fire Windsor Prk. Surviving also are a son, Dr. Ronald Stone, Santa Monica, a daughter, Sheryl L.

Stone, at home; a stepson, John N. Morrison, 632 Roosevelt one step grandson; and a sister, Thelma Stone, 219 Broad St. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Pleasureville United Methodist Church, with Rev. Robert E.

Zuver officiating. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery. Mrs. Harvey C. Grote HANOVER Funeral services will be held Wednesday for Mrs.

Irene E. Grote, wife of Harvey C. Grote, Hanover RD 3, who died Sunday in Hanover General Hospital where she had been a patient six days. Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. at the Sauter Funeral Home, 175 N.

Main Spring Grove, with interment in St. Jacob's (Stone) Union Church Cemetery near Glenville. Rev. Richard Weaver, pastor of the Lutheran congregation at Stone church, will officiate, assisted by Rev. Dr.

Kenneth S. Ehrhart, a former pastor. Thomas J. Zeigler Thomas J. Zeigler, 78, husband of Mrs.

Ameda Bentzel Zeigler, 1502 First died Monday at 3:38 a.m. at Memorial Osteopathic Hospital. A native of near Stewartstown, he was a son of the late William N. and Susannah E. Barton Zeigler.

He belonged to Christ Lutheran Church. His memberships included York Post 127, American Legion, the Historical Society of York County and York Rifleman's Club. Surviving also are two children, Philip and Mary Jane Zeigler, both of York. Rev. Ronald G.

VanBlargan, pastor at Christ Church, will officiate at memorial services Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Chapel of the Little Funeral Home, 65 Main Manchester. Remains, after cremation, will be interned in Quickel's Cemetery, near Zion View. Myrtle A. Chaney Miss Myrtle A.

Chaney, 55, a guest at Pleasant Acres for 33 years, died there at 9:30 p.m. Sunday. She was born in York, daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Flory LeFever. She was a member of St. Paul Evangelical Congregational Church.

She is survived by four sisters, Mrs. Harry Kottmyer, 146 N. Newberry Mrs. Carl Hollinger, 1133 N. Court Mrs.

Romaine Smith, N. Pershing and Mrs. Joseph Gentler, 111 Wilson Ave. Her pastor, Rev. David R.

Wolfe, will officiate at funeral services at 2 p.m. Wednesday from the William E. Small funeral Home, Roosevelt and Madison Avenues. Interment will be in Greenmount Cemetery. Church, Dover; York Chapter 694, Women of the Moose, and Pennsylvania Cosmetologist and Hair Dressers Assn.

A native of York, she was a daughter of the late George and Mary A. McKeefer Hollinger. Surviving, in addition to her husband, is a brother, Russell Hollinger, 335 E. Cottage Place. Her pastor, Rev.

Mrs. I. Blanche Gardner Mrs. I. Blanche Creager Gard- ner, 77, of Villa Park, a former York resident of many years ago, died Sunday at the Elmhurst (Ill.) Extended Care Center.

A native of Hagerstown, she was a daughter of the late William and Grace Creager. Surviving are three children, Mrs. Kuehner, Barrington, N.J.; Mrs. Mary M. Grada, Villa Park, William A.

Williams, threemonth-old son of an Orrtanna RD 1 couple, died Monday at 2:50 a.m. at York Hospital as a result of injuries suffered in a one-car accident Sunday near Orrtanna. Deputy York County Coroner Dr. John J. McLaughlin said an autopsy performed Monday at the hospital indicated the infant died of brain hemorrhage and internal injuries.

The Williams infant was a passenger in a car operated by his grandmother, Lucille Williams, 37, Orrtanna RD 1, when the vehicle went out of control and struck a bridge abutment. Ten other persons, including the baby's mother, Carol, were passengers in the William's car. They were treated at Gettysburg's Warner Hospital. Harrisburg said given too much aid HARRISBURG (AP) State Auditor Gen. Robert P.

Casey reported Monday that the Pennsylvania Community Affairs Department made excessive contributions totaling more than $780,000 to the Harrisburg Redevelopment Authority. In an audit report, Casey said the authority had contributed "substantially" more funds to urban renewal projects than authorized by state regulations.
