He will report for duty at an airbase in Kansas, Nov. 23. A daughter weighing 9 pounds wns born Nov. 8 to Mr nnd Mrs Gene Garrett. She has been named Rebecca Joan. There are three boys in the family. Mr and Mrs Donald Gangstec and family moved Wednesday from the August Bauman farm west of Lakota to Mr Gangstec's home farm, south of Elmore. Miss Emma Thaves was brought to her home Tuesday after having been hospitalized since the previous Wednesday. Mr John A. Dorenbush had an emergency operation for a stomach ulcer, at the Buffalo Center hospital Friday. Billy Beemer, student at Morningside college, Sioux City, was home over the weekend and pheasant hunted. Frank Lewis and Gwendolyn Bierstcdt of Luther College. Decorah, spent the weekend with their parents. Mrs Chris Asmussen is at the Merton Urban home, Amboy, Minn, caring for the family and her new granddaughter. Mrs Clarence Nissen arrived from Tulso, Okla. Tuesday and will visit a week with her mother, Mrs Ida Ukena. She was met at Mason City by her brother, Mr and Mrs Jerry Ukena. . Allen Smith of Great Lakes Naval Training Station was at his home Friday until Sunday. The Leonard Boettcher fanrJy returned the past week from California, where they have been since September. Mrs Ida Ukena and her daughter. Mrs Clarence Nissen of Tusla. Okla. were guests of Mr and Mrs Walter Hans at Swea City Friday afternoon. Rev. and Mrs Gilbert Beenken and children were visitors Thursday at the Presbyterian Manse. They were in the process of moving from Sioux Fal's. S. D. to Minneapolis. Minn, where Rev. Beenken will serve as pastor of the Calvary Presbyterian. Mrs Beenken is the twin sister of Mrr« Kruse. Mrs Harfz, grandmother of Mrs Kruse, is also a guest of Rev, and Mrs Kruse. Dr. and Mrs I. G. Groff are parents of a baby daughter born at the Britt Memorial hospital, November 11. She has been named Daun Renee. The former Anna Paulsen house was sold at auction by the Lutherans who purchased the property from the estate. Wilfred Radig was high bidder at $3100. The west side of the property adjoining the church was retained to be used as a parking lot. Mr nnd Mrs Burdette Hoeppner and the Misses Emma and Lena Gutknecht went to Rochester, Tuesday to visit Mrs Russell Te- Paske. Little Larry TePaske patient in St. Mary's hospital was beginning to show some improvement although not entirely con- cious at last report. • Irvington By Marguerite Mulligan Mr and Mrs Donald Frankl ot Minneapolis spent last weekend here with his mother and other relatives. Mrs Win. Bpldridge Sr. entered St. Ann hospital on Friday, Nov. 16th for medical treatment. She has been ailing for sometime. Mr and Mrs L. McMahon are parents of a son, born Nov. 15, at St. Ann hospital. . Mr and Mrs George Gade are parents of a daughter born Nov. 9th, at St. Ann hospital. She has been named Glenda Kay. Mr and Mrs Henry Scheppmann and a granddaughter, Miss Schmidt of Lone Rock left Friday for Washington, D. C. to spend 10 days at the home of their son Mr and Mrs Leroy Scheppmann and family. DELINQUENT TAX LIST The following is a true and coiroct list of all lands and town lots in Kossuth County, Iowa on which the taxes for the year 1955 and previous years are due and unpaid as appears from the several tax lists in my office.
