Students participate in the Sunflower Fundraiser, pro- which benefited the after-schnni i In 1984, pioneered by Charles Barra and a dedicated group of parents and parishioners, the St. Mary's School Foundation was born. Anticipating the future growth of St. Mary's School and the challenges of providing enhanced and affordable educational opportunities for its students, the Foundation was established to provide long-term financial support through the development of an endowment fund. The Foundation's goal is to reach $1,000,000 In assets from which St. Mary's School would receive earned Income annually. Through the generosity of many contributors, large and small, the Foundation is over half way to Its goal. Since 1989, St. Mary's School has been receiving annual funds from the Foundation. The Foundation also awards a $500 educational scholarship each year to a high school senior who has graduated from St. Mary's School. In the fall of 1998, the Foundation Joined with two school families to provide funding for the new school library and recently has provided funding for'Heaven Cent thrift shop located on School Street. In our search to improve the quality of life for children, we look to education as one of our highest priorities. The Foundation is an Independent entity from the Church and school, managed by its own board of directors and is totally committed to ensuring long-term, quality education for students of St. Mary's School. Gifts and other tax deductible contributions to-the Foundation may be made In many ways. Memorial or honorary donations, gifts of stock, real property, securities or life Insurance are some of the ways to donate to our endowment fund.
