Stop smoking. 2. Spend more time with the kids. 3. Attend church. Such resolutions are viewed as a denial or punishment and, for this reason, are rarely kept. However, if the New Year were approached with an outline like the one thai follows, the results might be different — I Serve God More Fully A. Give more time to the church. B. Serve as a hospital volunteer. II Enjoy a Sound Body A. Give up smoking. B. Eat more sensibly. III Live More Joyfully A. Get to know the children better. B. Pursue an interesting hobby. In this way resolutions can be placed in a broader perspective. They become more than short-term goals to be abandoned at the first opportunity. They become part of a total life plan. Have a Happy New Year. This Page Is Dedicated To The Building Ot A More Spiritual And A Greater Church-going Hempstead County.
