Jane Mayer, and Mrs. Merle Carpenter, all of Sweeny; five brothers. Homer, Tot Milton, and Robert, all of Sweeny; Howard and Ross, both of West Columbia: six grandchildren and one great- Jeny Sims CLUTE — Jerry Sims, the nephew of Mrs. Haid Walton of CTute, drowned Saturday (June 2.1973) in a creek near his home in Necbes.. Miss. Sims. 16, also U survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Doug Sims; one sister, and his grandparents. Ira W. Robinson Ira Wallace Robinson. 74, of Bayou Estate*, died at £ p.m. Saturday, (June 2. l»n) in Methodist Hospital in Houston. Funeral sen-ices will be held at 2 p.m Tuesday in the Bastrop Bayou Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Wingaie officiating. RobiniOH was a retired Dow' Chemical Co. employee and had been a resident of Angleton for 3D years. He was a member of tbe Bastrop Bayou Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife. Mrs. Willie V. Robinson of Angleton. sons, W H. "Dub" Robinson of Houston: Thomas Wayne Robinson of Hugo, Okla.; and Earl Wendell Robinson of Copperas Cove; II grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren Burial will be in the Angleton Cemetery under the direction of Palms Funeral Home. Angleton crash hurts several ANGLETON - A Sfryear- old Lake Jackson man was listed in satisfactory condition Monday at Angieton-Danbury Hospital following a two-car accident Saturday night on SH m at Kiber Street. Robert Lincoln Canavan, of III Magnolia, was driving a 1V70 Volkswagen bus that collided with a 1/73 Ford driven by Linda Garcia. 26. of 722 S. Anderson, Angleton. Angleton Police Chief Derwood Kennedy said Canavan's car apparently slammed into the rear of tbe Ford when the driver stepped la make a turn. Persons injured in the accident were taken to the local hocpiial by Medical Center Ambulance. Treated and released for minor injuries, mostly bruises and abrasions, were Joe Munez Jr., 10, K*ra Conzates. ai, and Rebecca Goozale*, (6, •II of Angleton and passenger* in the Garcia car. Tbe accident occurred shortly before midnight Saturday. Pallbearers will be Cecil Autry, Bob Barta, O, H. dements. R P. Gilliara. J. T. Kennetner. Jack Sterna. H. 0. Pangburn. Carl Stephens Honorary Pallbearers will be members of tbe West Columbia Volunteer Fire Department Burial will be in the Cedar Lawn Haven of Rest Cemetery under the direction of Palms Funeral Home.
