Beef, Lamb In Best Buy Category By The Associated Press Beef and lamb will offer the most for your money m .the nation's food stores this weekend. It's on cuts of these two meats that most the weekend price trimming is planned. Favorite features will be chuck roast and round roast. However, one large chain plans to cut prices on sirloin steaks by from two to six cenis a pound and on prime ribs by around two to four cents. Legs of lamb will be a popular special, too, and a number of stores will have lamb shoulder roast at reduced prices. There also will be reductions on lamb chops in some areas. Fry!"g; chi'-ken* vil! be higher b; from two to four cents a pound, however. Egg prices won't show much change this weekend, but the word is that you may expect mghi prices soon. The approaching hot weather means hens will lay few. eggs. Butter prices this weekend will be about the same as a week ago. Page 21 A Recipe Shower Is Sure To Please That Bride-to-Be CHOCOLATE ANGEL MOUSSE is a wonderful easy-do dessert. It's nude with semisweet chocolate and storc-boucht ancel cake. By GAYXOR MADDOX I Recipes for the bride-to-be, what could be more important? So not give a recipe shower. Each friend brings a kitchen gift with her favorite and tnorougniy tested recipe tied to it with a ribbon. Chocolate Angel Mousse is a wonderful easy-do dessert. Serve it at the shower and give the bride-to-be the recipe. It calls for store angel cake and semi-sweet chocolate morsels, the kind used in chocolate chip cookies. Chocolate Angel Mousse (12 servings) One angel food cake (6-3 ounces). 2 6-ounce or 1 12-ounce package. 2 cups semisweet chocolate morsels, ise, with ends extending a little igel food cake into *4- inch cubes; reserve. Melt semisweet chocolate morsels over hot, not boiling water. Remove from heat; stir in beaten egg yoiKs; cool. Beat egg whites until stiff, but not dry. Gradually addy sugar and beat until very stiff. Stir into chocolate mixture. Fold in whipped cream. Turn *3 of the chocolate mixture into prepared pan; layer with ^ of the angel food cubes. Continue alter nating until all of tne cnocoiate is used. Arrange remaining cubes checkerboard fashion on top of the chocolate. Chill until firm. lift cake from pan with waxed paper ends.
