His service to organized real estate spans nearly 25 years, and he is currently the owner and operator of Walt McDonald Real Estate in Riverside. He has served as a director to the California Association of Realtors for 22 years, and during that time has been a member of the Executive, Budget and Finance, Long Range Planning committees and a regional vice president, as well as chairing many of the major policy committees for CAR. McDonald will be in Ukiah for a Region Realtors meeting on Wednesday, and will address several Northern California Boards of Realtors, including the Mendocino County Board, on his California Vision Policy and affordable housing. RoseMarie, a former Ukiah resident and Realtor, is chairman of the California Association of Realtors Region IV, which consists of Associated Realtors in Mendocino, Lake, Sonoma, Marin, Napa and Solano counties. RoseMarie remains a member of the Mendocino County Board of Realtors, and organized this event for the community. Pacific Heartland Realty names top producers Evelyn Krenz and Chris Alfano, of Pacific Heartland Realty/Better Homes and Gardens Willits office were recently honored as the top sales and top listing associates respectively, at the awards luncheon held June 17 in Willils. "Their achievement represents tremendous personal accomplishment. And recognizing their hard work and dedication emphasizes the importance Pacific Heartland Realty/Better Homes & Gardens places on outstanding individual effort," said Cindy Lindgren, broker/owner of the company. Pacific Heartland Realty/Better Homes and Gardens has been a member of the Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Service network since 1990. Better Homes & Gardens was formed in 1978 and is a national network of more than 650 firms with more than 1,300 locations and over 22,000 full-time sales associates. Renters urged to look at home ownership "Owning your own home still gives you one of the best tax advantages available — deductible inter- est," says Norm McLean of the Real Estate Shop. "People who are renting should investigate the real cost of home ownership, taking into account the tax break," McLean said. "The President's tax package impacts almost every area and affects almost everyone," McLean, a real estate professional for 20 years, added. "But it does not call for a repeal of the deductibility of home mortgage interest, one of the most advantageous aspects of home ownership." McLean said he offers no-cost counseling at the Real Estate Shop to renters interested in buying a home. As a member of Homeowners Marketing Services, Inc., a leading provider of products and services to the real estate industry, the Real Estate Shop provides additional services to buyers and sellers, McLean said, such as home warranty plans and assistance with relocation, whether across the state or across the country, through a national relocation network.
