York City New Attack To Cure Old Faults WITH a stronger and bigger attack and a younger side. York City's prospects are definitely bright. Practically a new forward line will do duty this season and greater dash will be infused into the attacking movements. Last season the attack was all finesse and no goals. One of the chief problems of the club, that of finding a tall, well-built centre forward.

seems to have been solved be the acquisition of Nicol from Burton Town. Nicol possesses all the qualities that have been lacking at Bootham-crescent for some seasons past now. and if he can but reproduce the form he displayed for Burton Town, who so well and truly beat York City on their own ground in the first round of the F.A. Cup last season, then the club will congratulate themselves on signing him. Player for player the side appears to be vastly stronger combination.
