Miss Jane Parthemer who served as maid-of-honor, wore a gown Identical to the bridesmaids of soft green faille taffeta with boat neckline and deep butterfly bustle back. Their headpieces were of lemon leaves made in wide bands with clusters of rhubrums at the side. They carried matching cascade bouquets of rhubrum lilies. The groom was served by five of his Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity brothers from the University of Illinois.

Robert Whltmer of Robinson served as best man. The ushers were Harmon Preeto of River Forest, William Snyder of Chicago, Arthur Lennon of Joliet and Robert Mehaffey of Knoxvllle, Tenn. The reception was held In the Orace Church Parish House where two hundred guests were received. The bride's mother wore royal blue trimmed in sequins with a matching feather half hat. The groom's mother wore gray and a headple-e of fuchsia, feather tips.

Both mothers wore orchids. Mrs. Vollmer is a graduate of the Oak Park High School and attended the University of Illinois where she wa's affiliated with Delta Oam-ma sorority. Mr. Vollmer was graduated from the Commerce School of the University In June.

He is a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon. Those attending the wedding from Mattoon were the groom's parents', Mr. and Mrs. E. W.
