Miss Rachel Kottke of Mabel played the wed- amg march and accompanied Miss Williams of Mabel who sang. The bride, given in marriage by her father, was attended by her sister-in-law, Mrs. Merle Harkness, of Denver, matron of and the bridegroom's sister- in-law, Mrs. Walter Grosser of Decorah, who was bridesmaid. Richard Grosser of Decorah, nephew of the bridegroom, and the bride's niece, Judy Myron, of Mabel, were the ringbearers. The bridegroom's attendants were the bride's brother, Merle Harkness, of Denver, and Walter Grosser of Decorah, brother of. the bridegroom. James Howard, Jerry Ahern, Rudolph Tuchek and Charles Zender, all of Cresco, were ushers. Following the ceremony a reception was held in the church parlors.

'Before her marriage the bride was employed at the Layton drug store in Cresco. The bridegroom is associated with his father in the grocery business here. Before going into business he attended Luther college at Decorah and Winona State college at Winona, Minn. After a short wedding trip the couple will be at home in Cresco. The only man ever to fall off high Whiteside mountain in North Carolina, Gus Baity, is still living at Highlands, N.

Louis sinfonietta, with Paul Schreiber as conductor and Victor Salvi, harpist. This was one of the Charles City community concert series. Mrs. Don Kofron and son, Phillip, have arrived for a visit with Mrs. Kofron's parents, Mr.

and Mrs. M. E. Birdsell, 712 10th N. E.

Mr. Kofron has just been graduated from the University of Iowa at Iowa City where he and his family have been living. He has gone to Austin, where he has accepted a position with the George A. Hormel company and Mrs. Kofron and their son will join him there.

Word has been received of the birth of twin girls, Kathleen Ann and Karen Jean, to Mr. and Mrs. Ken Rowland of Wilmington, on Feb. 13. Mrs.

Rowland is the former Phyllis McGraw, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John J. McGraw, 7 7th N. W.

The bride wore a 2 piece pink gabardine dress with dark green accessories and a corsage of dark pink roses. The matron of honor had an aqua dress with black accessories and a corsage of yellow roses, A reception was held at the home of the bride's sister, Mrs. Charles Price, in Wesley. A 3-tier wedding cake decorated with pink rosebuds centered the table. Miss Margaret Mathews of Mason City cut the cake.

The bride attended the Mason City high school and the bridegroom was graduated from the Sheffield high school. Mascia Club Has Guest Meeting Cecil Morey entertained the Mascia club at the farm home of Mr. and Mrs. Palmer Lee near Manly, evening and after the regular business session, more than 80 persons, most of whom had just attended the basketball game between the Manly Independents and the Des Moines Silent Club teams, were entertained. Russell Kaplan of Alden, Mrs.

Mabel Hubbert of Albert Lea, and Wilbur Sawhill of Des Moines were among winners of contests played. At the meeting it was announced that the Des Moines Silent Club will play at Denver, Friday for the championship among deaf teams in the midwest and will come again to Manly next year if possible. Among the visitors of the club was Marvin Tuttle, one stellar player for Iowa school. Those members of the basketball team who came as guests were Louis Brundige, coach; Burnett Lillard Eldon Wormley, Wilbur Sawhill LeRoy Good, Larry Buchholz Nick L. Routans, Dale Van Hemert, Roger Dempewold, Donald Ross and Albert Hjortshoj.

Other visitors were Mr. and Mrs Glen Jackson and daughter Charles City, Mr. and Mrs. Dana of Riceville, Mr. and Mrs David Meyer and daughter of Le land, Mrs.

H. P. Meyer of Fores City, Lester Ahls of Waterloo, Mr and Mrs. Rudolph Kaplan and son of Alden, Mr. and Mrs.

Lynn Sut cliffe of Allison, Mr. and Mrs Robert Clark of Mitchell, Georg of Ames, Gerald and Mau rice Froehle of Bancroft, Mr. an Mrs. Rudolph Peterson of Ceda Dexter Weds in Florida Alice Mae Dexter, daughter of Mrs. Richard Clark Dexter, Lakeland, and the ate Mr.

Dexter, former Nashuans, was married Feb. 12, to Getys Paul Alderman, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Marcus Alderman of Nichols, at the home of Mr.

and Mrs. Frank Swinehart, by the Rev. Paul Redfearn, pastor of the First Methodist church in Bartow. After the ceremony, a reception was held for the bridal couple, relatives and close friends. Upon their return from their wedding trip, they will live at Lakeland.
