Duke and Burnell Alan Kearney, son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald E. Kearney, 105 Penwood Road, were married Saturday at 7 p.m. in Messiah United Methodist Church.

The Rev. Roger Keech, pastor, performed the double ring ceremony. He was assisted by the Rev. John Grove, Trinity United Methodist Church, Reading. Chantilly lace accented the bride's white floor length satin gown.

The gown was fashioned with a mandarin collar, bishop sleeves, and empire bodice ending in a chapel length train. A cluster of chantilly lace leaves and seed pearls held her bouffant veil of illusion. Nancy Haines was her sister's maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Douglas Green, cousin of the bride; Mrs.

Jeffery Knaub; Mrs. Eddie Daryl Miller, Washington, D. and Joy Everhart. Joy Shaffer was flowergirl. Best.

Bortner, son of E. J. Bortner, 1794 Powder Mill Road, has assumed the position of director of support services for the Naval Research Laboratory at Washington, D.C. Capt. Bortner attended the former York Junior College and received a bachelor of science degree in physics and a master of science degree in mathematics from Bucknell University, Lewisburg.

He is married to the former Caroline Swaim of Concord, Mass. They and their four children reside in Annapolis, Md. Car rallye Sunday A fun gimmick type rallye, sponsored by York County Corvette Club, will be held Sunday starting at J.C. Pennys Auto Center, York Mall. Registration will begin at noon, with a drivers' meeting at 12:45 p.m.
