Robert D. Hebert No services are scheduled for Robert Dennis Hebert, who died Aug. 8 in Santa Cruz. He was 57. Mr.

Hebert was a native of Michigan, born to Francis and Mary (Savage) Hebert. He was a resident of Santa Cruz. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1962 to 1964. During his final years, he was cared for by Dr.

David Kipps and Debbie Hartman, deputy public administrator for Santa Cruz County. Mr. Hebert was cremated and his ashes will be scattered at sea. Norman's Family Chapel is handling arrangements. Josephine M.

McMiller Services will be Friday for Josephine M. McMiller, who died Sunday in Wat-sonville. She was 87. Mrs. McMiller was a native of El Centro and a resident of Watsonville since 1955.

She was a member of the Mount Olive Church of God in Christ in Watsonville. She enjoyed participating in a local foster grandparents program and various senior citizens activities. Mrs. McMiller is survived by son David Allison of Watsonville; daughters Mary Todd of Watsonville, Odessa Hodge of Salinas and Charlene Lowery of Santa Cruz; and 18 grandchildren. Her husband, Charles McMiller, died in 1984.

Luis Godoy Jr. Mass will be celebrated today for Luis Godoy who died Friday in Santa Cruz. He was 17. Mr. Godoy was born in Mexico and had lived in Santa Cruz since age 1.

He was a student at Santa Cruz High School and a member of the varsity football team. He received the team's lineman of the year award for his performance last season. He would have been a senior in the fall. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. Mr.

Godoy is survived by his mother, Laura Godoy; father Luis Godoy sisters Amelia, Ana, Laura, Caty and Elazabeth Godoy; and brothers Jose and Andrew Godoy. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. today at Star of the Sea Church. Norman's Family Chapel is handling arrangements. Tin's obituary is being re-run to correct the date of services.

dies at 72 Actor John Milford Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Mehl's Colonial Chapel, 222 E. Lake Ave. in Watsonville. Burial will follow at Pioneer Cemetery.

Friends may call after 8 a.m. at Mehl's. Joseph Vaggioli Services will be Friday for Joseph Vaggioli, who died Monday in Santa Cruz. He was 81. Mr.

Vaggioli was born in Santa Cruz. At age 12, he moved to Italy, and later served in the Italian military during World War II. He returned to Santa Cruz in 1955 with his wife and son. He first worked for George Wilson Sheet Metal and later for Pacific Coast Aggregates. He retired in 1982.

He was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, the Italian Catholic Federation, the Santa Cruz Elks Lodge and the Marconi Club. He enjoyed gardening, mushrooming and playing cards with friends at the Elks Lodge. Mr. Vaggioli Is survived by his wife, Dina Vaggioli of Santa Cruz; son San-dro Vaggioli of Santa daughter Diane Vaggioli Johnston of Santa Cruz; three grandchildren; and numerous relatives in Italy. A vigil will be at 7:30 p.m.

Thursday at Benito and Azzaro Pacific Gardens Chapel, 1050 Cayuga St. in Santa Cruz. Friends may call from p.m. at Benito and Azzaro. A funeral procession will leave at 11:30 a.m.

He died 10 days after choosing to stop dialysis. He leaves behind a wife, Hanny of Santa Cruz, a brother Jack, of Aptos, and three sisters and a brother In Massachusetts. He leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews on both coasts. He also leaves behind quite an extended family of loved ones that he considered dear to him. You will all know who you are.

Stephen was an extraordinary man who accepted and prevailed over all the challengs presented to him In his life with devotion, perseverance, fortitude, and love. His final days were a testament to his unfailing love of life and laughter; he made us smile and laugh, which is what he loved to do most. His warm and gentle spirit will be greatly missed by all who knew him. This gracious gift will be his legacy and will live within us always. The celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, August 20 at The First Congregational Church at 900 high St.

SANCHEZ Aurora R. Sanchez entered eternal rest August 13, 2000 after a lengthy illness from diabetes at her daughter's home, surrounded by her loving family.

A native of La Natividad, Jalisco, Mexico, she Immigrated to the U. S. In 1968, and has been a resident of Santa Cruz ever since. A longtime parishioner of Holy Cross Catholic Church, she worked for many years at Tampico Kitchen in Santa Cruz. She enjoyed gardening and most of all, loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her brother, Salvador Ramirez of San Fernando, son and daughter-in-law, Ramon and Aurora Helgueros of Santa Cruz, daughter and son-in law, Irma and'Alejandro Rivas of Gainsville, Georgia, and daughter, Victoria Helgueros of Santa Cruz. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Sergio Jr, Andrew, Linda. Arthur, Lupita, Luisita. Alejandro Elizabeth, Maribel and Aurorita, eleven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews and her many friends. She is preceded in death by her infant son, Salvador, her husband, Ramon S.

Helgueros who passed away in 1948, her husband, Francisco Sanchez who passed away in 1991, and her brother, Enrique Ramirez who passed away in 1962. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at Holy Cross Church, 126 High Street on Thursday, August 17, 2000 at 10:00 a.m. Vigil services will be at Oakwood Memorial Crystal Chapel on Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. Visitation for family and friends will be at Oakwood Chapel on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until time of the vigil.

He was 76.

A native of Fresno, CA, Robert was a house mover since the age of 13. He worked as a building contractor, architect, real estate broker and developed custom homes. Robert was a member of Real Estate Architects Board Association. He survived Pearl Harbor and made First Gunners Mate in the Navy. He attended Fresno State College.

His interests and hobbies included camping, football, basket ball in high school and city league, fishing, Musical Light Opera's, motorhoming and was a Baseball Giants fan. Robert is survived by Jacqueline Longacre, wife, Bobbie Nelson, daughter, Gaye Dabalos, daughter, Gavin Cullen, Mark Cullen and Scott Cullen stepson, 8 grandchildren, VI Bedford and Claire Guiley, sisters. He was predeceased by one brother John Longacre. Services will be held on Thursday, August 17 at 2 p.m. at Norman's Family Chapel, 3620 Soquel Soquel, CA 95073.

GEORGIA SCONTRIANO Services will be held today, Wednesday, August 16 at 3:00 p.m. at the Prophet Elias Greek Orthodox Church for our beloved Georgia Scontriano, who died Sunday in her Santa Cruz residence. Georgia was bom in Tripoli, Greece and immigrated to the United States to join her husband in 1939. She and her husband George Scontriano owned several Santa Cruz restaurants including the Seafood Grill on Beach the Ship Cafe and the Dolphin Restaurant on the Santa Cruz Wharf.

Georgia was a member of the Prophet Elias Greek Orthodox Church and the Philiphochos Society. For many years she was Involved in the Santa Cruz Greek Food Festival. She was preceded in death by her husband George Scontriano and her son Nicholas. Georgia is survived by her daughters Helen Epperson, Santa Cruz and Vicki Garcia, Modesto, her son Peter Scontriano, Santa Cruz, 5 grandchildren and many relatives in Greece. Georgia enjoyed gardening, cooking and traveling.

Most of all she enjoyed being with her family and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her. A reception will follow the ceremony at Adolph's Restaurant in Santa Cruz. He noted a 1986 U.S. Supreme Court decision that said unions could demand payment from nonunion members if their fees solely cover the cost of collective bargaining and are not used for political contributions. SEASIDE Santa Cruz teen hit with shotgun blast A 15-year-old Santa Cruz girl was shot by an unknown assailant at a home on the 1700 block of Laguna Street in Seaside about 11 p.m. Monday.

Seaside police said the girl and Edwin Reyes, 20, of Seaside suffered minor wounds from a shotgun blast, and were treated at a nearby hospital and released. Reyes had wounds to his right hip and buttocks; the girl had wounds on her right arm. The girl's name was not released. Police said there are no suspects. repair and drainage work.

District Court Tuesday to overturn legislation requiring nonunion workers to pay partial union dues. The National Right to Work Legal Defense Foundation sued UC regents and two unions, claiming the Legislature did not have the authority to make those demands on approximately 14,000 employees. Only the Board of University Regents has such authority, the suit says. A spokesman for one of the locals said the unions would win the suit.
