A1 0 THE CHILLIWACK PROGRESS, Wednesday, March 4, 1987 Hickin-Mitchell wed Bugden-Gagne wed Weddings Doerfling-Weigetz Wedding vows were exchanged Feb. 6 between Dorothy Mitchell of Chilliwack and Ray Hickin of Manitoba. Rev. Jack Hor-ricks officiated at the double-ring ceremony held in the garden court at Rainbow try Inn. Given in marriage by her two DOROTHY and RAY HICKIN Doris Alma Anna Gagne and Allison Bugden were married Feb.

14 in a double-ring, two-family unity ceremony at Carman United Church with Rev. J.T. Horricks officiating. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.

Marc Gagne of Sardis. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Austin Bugden of Corner Brook, Nfld. For her wedding, the bride chose a full-length, white, satin gown with two layers of ruffles on the hem surrounding the train.

It featured a bodice with lace and long sleeves. The bride was attended by Christine Reder as maid of honor and by Lynn Guest and Kay Dixon as bridesmaids. The groom was attended by Raymond Bugden as best man and by Edward Gagne and Austin Bugden as groomsmen and ushers. The bride's uncle Adrian Gagne took pictures at the bride's home and at the reception. During the reception, Jim Coish served as master of ceremonies.

The bride's father toasted the bridal couple and the groom toasted his bride. Out-of-province guests included Christine Reden of Germany; Mr. bride, and Jack Allean of Lloyd-minster offered the toast to the groom. Tom Hickin offered the toast to the attendants. Video Hi-Lites videotaped the ceremony.

Dancing followed. The wedding cake was baked by Sandra Morrison, the groom's daughter. Out-of-town guests included Mr. and Mrs. Morrison of Victoria, Aida Black, Peggy-Sue Hickin and Jocelyn Burling of Winnipeg, Mr.

and Mrs. J. Allen of Alberta, Mr. and Mrs. Cavanaugh of Kelowna, Mr.

and Mrs. Roy Stewart and son Greg, of Co-quitlam, Capt. and Mrs. F. Lubin of Victoria, Mr.

and Mrs. Norman Hoffman of Sorrento, B.C., Mr. and Mrs. A. Lubin of Kamloops, Louise Kriese of Salmon Arm, Mr.

and Mrs. R. James of Oliver, Lena Pesut of Vancouver and Kay Morrison of New Westminster, Mr. and Mrs. Marinuik of Surrey, Charles Chapman of Langley, the McCrimmons and the Wilsons, long-time friends of the groom, from Abbotsford, and the Crebers and Aileen Brewster, longtime friends of the bride also of Abbotsford.

Following a wedding trip to California, Arizona and Texas, the couple will live in Chilliwack. She carried her O.E.S. Bible, covered with lace and champagne roses, a gift from her children. Bride's attendants were Sharon Mitchell and Sandra Mitchell, daughters of the bride, and Jacqueline Hickin, the groom's daughter-in-law.

Tom Hickin of Thompson, was best man. Roy Chapman was master of ceremonies at the reception held in the Inn's Heritage Room. Tom Hickman proposed the toast to the Darcie Annette Augustine Weigetz and Erwin Karl Frederick Doerfling were married Feb. 14 in a candlelight, double-ring ceremony at Christ Lutheran Church in Chilliwack, with Pastor Horst Aechtner officiating. The bride is the daughter of Wayne and Dianne Weigetz of Huntingdon, B.C.

The groom is the son of Helene Denes of Chilliwack. The bride wore her sister-in-law's gown of organza over taffeta with Alcenon lace. The lace-trimmed bodice featured a Queen Anne neckline seeded with pearls and long, fitted sleeves. The semi-empire waistline held a full, lace-trimmed, A-line skirt forming a multi-laced and ruffled circle entrain. The bride's sister Kim Weigetz was maid of honor.

Connie Siebert, Debbie Klassen and the groom's niece Kathy Thoma served as bridesmaids. Steve Lang was best man. Charles DeBoer, Kevin Swenson and the groom's nephew Luke Thoma acted as groomsmen. Walter Doerfling and Bernie Klassen were ushers. Candlelighters were Barry Tallman and the groom's niece Donna Coelho.

Out-of-privince guests included Mr. and Mrs. Tony Hoffman of Renton, as well as the bride's aunt and cousin Marge Barclay and Debbie Barclay of Fisher Branch, Man. and Kevin Swenson and Jody of Edmonton. The newly-married couple has made a home in Chilliwack.

The bride is the daughter of Al Wedel and Diane Watt, and the groom is the son of Larry and Diane Price, all of Chilliwack. Pastors Roger Thompson and Arne Johnson officiated at the double-ring ceremony at the Royal Canadian Legion Hall. The bride wore a gown with a Victorian neckline and V-shaped yoke with a ruffled lace trim and accented with seed pearls and sequins. The full skirt had lace tiers a the hemline forming a chapel-length train.

The waist and puffed sleeves were trimmed with pink satin ribbon. Gail Ketting was matron of honor and Tammy Price was bridesmaid. Jeff Storbo was best man and Mike Gieger was groomsman. The bride's brothers Daniel and Des were ushers. During the reception, Ron Pi! at was master of ceremonies, while George Smith offered the toast to the bride and Jeff Storbo offered the toast to the bridesmaids.
