DAUGHTER OF ONCE DE LEON EAGER TO ATTEND SCHOOL HERE "When school opened at the Franklin school Tuesday morning a big 'eyed, bright-faced little girl applied for admission to the first grade of the Leon street school. She could not speak any. English, but she soon made the teacher understand that she had come to learn English and American ways. She is Solidad Ponce de Leon, daughter of former chief of police Antonio Ponce de Leon, of Juarez.

She is to be educated in the El Paso schools by her father, who is now a resident of this oity and who has applied for papers as a citizen of the United States.
