with about 20 other little dancers from Creative at "Christmas in the Plaza" on Saturday Dec 3 Unfortunately a brief rainstonn came through about two hours before the scheduled performance and the event was canceled with no time to notify anyone The girls all showed up in costume and were left very disappointed some even in tears The rain had stopped but there was no stereo system to play their dance music The San Luis Obispo County Band which had alsc showed up was playing nearby Knowing that show must go the dance instructor cajoled the band leader into playing the Christmas songs for the dance programs In a gesture of goodwill w'hich will not soon be forgotten the band set forth without benefit of rehearsal and helped realize the dancers' dreams Let the countries of origin pay costs
