Appeal to New Schedule On S-P Gets State Approval SAN FRANCISCO Sept 27 (UJ9 Southern Pacific won approval from the state public utilities commission today to discontinue two trains on its San Francisco-Los Angeles run Oct 2 and add a new all-coach streamliner run to its schedule The commission approved the application to discontinue Its noon daylight train and the coaster which makes the Los Angeles-San Francisco run at night In their place Southern Pacific win run a train called the Starlight which will leave Los Angeles and San Francisco at 8:15 pm and arrive at 6:45 am Southern Pacific asked to discontinue Its noon daylight and coaster because of diminishing business on its California coastal route The application was protested by several cities including Salinas Watsonville and Paso Robles Wes Baker Gets Deer with Bow and Arrow William Tell's a piker compared to Wes Baker San Lula Obispo grocer who evidently knows his apples Hunting with a bow and arrow In the Sierras arrow he said Albacore Run Arrives 42 Boats at Morro Bay MORRO BAY Sept 27 The albacore run appar ently hit the San Luis Obispo coast at full strength according to local fishermen Jim Ellis harbormaster at Morro Bay said thin morning the bay waa plugged with 42 fishing boats anchored here over the weekend This is reportedly the largest fishing fleet ever to pull in at this port The harbor dredge which has been cleaning out the bay channel in recent weeks has prevented additional boats from tying up here When free of the dredge the harbor should accommodate at least 100 boats Overflow of boats has gone to San Simeon and Avila with the big ex-mine-sweep out of San Francisco laid in at Cayucoa Dredging operations in Morro Bay are now nearing completion and the first tow of
