Hum- phreys, 92, of Waukon, IA, formerly of Lanark, IL, passed away to her heavenly home on Saturday, January 8, 2022, at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. Family graveside services will be held at a later date in Clinton, IL. Memorials may be sent to Rock River Christian Camp, 16486 W. IL Route 64, Polo, IL 61064.

Martin-Grau Fu- neral Home in Waukon is assisting the family. Naoma, along with her twin brother Ned, were born on May 14, 1929, to Oran and Hilda (Wright) Wade of rural Clinton, IL. Naoma went to country school until her family moved into Clinton and in 1948, graduated from Clinton High School. She worked at the local drug store and then later took a job as a cashier with the power company. On October 20, 1950, she married the love of her life, Boyce Humphreys.

They raised five children and were longtime residents of Lanark, IL. Naoma worked at Elkay Manufacturing and then later worked at Rolling Hills. Naoma and Boyce enjoyed traveling, often to visit with children and their families. Grandchildren have memories of picnics, hiking, camping, eating out, family reunions, and spending time at in the summer. Naoma played piano for church and taught Sunday school for many years.

She was known for her embellished floral applique jeans and wearing pearls for any and all occasions. Naoma loved ice cream and was always ready to dessert She will be remembered for her positive attitude, encouragement, and generosity. Naoma is survived by her two sons, David (Suzi) Humphreys of Carlinville, IL, and Scott (Mary Ellen) Humphreys of Western Springs, IL; three daughters, Helen (Chuck) Coggins of Plainview, MN, Nelda (Bruce) Meador of Wau- kon, IA, and Lauretta (Mike) Boyer of Lanark, IL; 14 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchil- dren. She is preceded in death by her husband Boyce, who died in 2016; parents; two broth- ers; one sister; one granddaughter; and one great-grandson. Online condolences may be left at www.

martinfunerals.com. NAOMA F. HUMPHREYS Born: May 14, 1929 in Clinton, IA Died: January 8, 2022 in Waukon, IA Richard D. Harris, of Milledgeville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 13, 2022. Richard was born June 25th, 1939, son of William and Bel- vadean (Ballard) Harris.

He grew up in the area around and attended Erie High School. Richard met the love of his life, Tena Dhabalt and they married and start- ed a family, residing in Milledgeville. Together they raised five children and celebrated 61 years of marriage until passing in 2020. Richard was the definition of a hard worker and was a skilled carpenter. He loved to make things for his family, including toybox- es and dollhouses which will be cherished for a lifetime.

He enjoyed the outdoors, es- pecially hunting and fishing. Richard was an avid Cubs fan for his entire life and enjoyed watching every game. Richard had the gift of striking up a conver- sation with a stranger, making a friend out of them by the end of it. He was incredibly friendly, personable, and quite funny. Rich- family was the most important part of his life, and his kind heart lives on in those he leaves behind.

Richard will be dearly missed by his three sons, Branty (Julie) Harris, David (Tuesdai) Harris, and Shane (Brenda) Harris; two daughters, Ramona (Roger) Koett and Willow Russell; nine grandchildren, Luke (Ryann) Koett, Zane (Stacey) Russell, Nikki (Zack) Thomure, Kara (Jamie) Koett, Andrew (Kayla) Russell, Marissa Harris, Levi (Ashley) Harris, Jordan Harris, and Payton Harris; 11 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Bill Har- ris and Gary Harris; two sisters, Brenda (Jim) Kerley and Sue Buthe. Richard is preceded in death by his wife, Tena Harris; his parents, William and Belvadean; brother, Steve Harris, and son-in-law, John Russell. A celebration of life was held Saturday, January 22nd at the Milledgeville Club. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rock River Hospice. RICHARD D.

HARRIS Born: June 25, 1939 Died: January 13, 2022 Dorothy Wubbena, age 97, of Shannon, IL passed away Sunday, January 16, 2022 at Lena Living Center. She was born in Shan- non on April 3, 1924 to the late Roland and VerDena (Daniels) Artman. Dorothy married Robert Wubbena on September 27, 1946. Bob passed away on October 20, 2007. Dorothy graduated from Shannon High School in 1942.

She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church and United Meth- odist Women. She served as a 4-H Leader for several years and worked in the office for the Carroll County Fair for numerous years. Dorothy enjoyed ceramics, sewing, gar- dening, fishing with her husband, attending sporting events and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren, she was so proud of all their accomplishments. She loved hosting Holiday family gatherings and looked forward to watching the grandkids and great grandkids play football in the backyard. She is survived by her son, Wayne (Sandy) Wubbena of Warren; her daughter, Darlene (Doug) Pauley of Winslow; her six grandchil- dren, Becky (Ryan) Guentner, Krista (Brett) Fry, Wendy (Shawn) Bean, Scott (James Waite) Wubbena, Jody (Ryan) Indergand, and Mark (Cynthia) Pauley; her 12 great grand- children, Olivia, Jack, Breyton, Sadie, Brynn, Sawyer, Payton, Kayla, Drew, Kiera, Brady and Miles; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son, Darold Wubbena; and her sister, Florence Thede. A private family service will be held. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Interment will take place at Brethren Ceme- tery in Shannon. A memorial fund has been established.

Carroll, IL, passed away January 13, 2022 in Sterling, IL. He was born January 8, 1957 in Freeport, IL, to Marvin and Beatrice (Grimes) Vietmeyer. He was a 1976 graduate of Lanark High School.

He married Sherrie Speer on August 25, 1979 in Mt. Carroll. He was retired from the Mt. Carroll Fire Department. Survivors include his spouse Sherrie Viet- meyer of Mt.

Carroll, son Christopher (Amanda) Vietmeyer, daughter Courtney Vietmeyer, granddaugh- ter Jayden Vietmeyer, grandson Hunter Vietmeyer, brothers: Kevin Vietmeyer and Curt Vietmeyer; and nieces and nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a son Patrick Vietmeyer. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
