Moreno Mrs Nathan will be remembered as illss Ernestine Fordham of this city IN HONOR OF MISSES GINSBERG MARCUS AND LEVY A delightful affair was given at Magnolia Bluff last night In honor of Miss Nettle Ginsberg of Mossy Head who Is visiting her sister Mrs Ben Heinberg Miss Dora Marcus and Miss Tlllye Levy Dancing and bathing were enjoyed and a very pleaeant evening spent I CELEBRATION OF CHILDREN I CONFEDERACY The Children of the Confederacy gave an entertaining reception at tho home of Mrs Reese 802 Blount street Tuesday evening under the direction of Mrs Reese assisted by iMIsa ONeal The home and lawn were decorated in red and white mostly flags and a most delightful program was renderbtt and enjoyed Three recitations which brought around of applause were rendered by Miss Gladys Smith In costume Mid Hilma Green and Mr Carr Sandusky Mr Thompson gave a very interesting talk Punch Ice cream and cake were served and a very pleasant and Instructive evening was enjoyed CAP and puffs of the conventional coiffure they are certainly useful and the height of coquetry The one pictured is of allover English eyelet embroidery with ruffles of the same around the face and twQ lace motifs which bang over the ears much in the I dress fashion of the Dutch national head by the children also veterans Daughters of the Confederacy and all whc attended MRS ALEX LISCHKOFF WILL ENTERTAIN Mrs Alex Lischkoff will entertain at her home on West Wright street this afternoon in honor of Mrs Ralph Holberg of Mobile Miss Dora Marcus of Montgomery Miss Tillye Levy of Mobile and Miss Rosa Lee Jacoby of Shreveport Louisiana Six handed euchre will be played Mrs Lischkoff is a delightful hostess and those who are fortunate enough to attend her affairs greatly enjoy them INTERESTING MEETING OF On Tuesday evening the ladies of the Pensacola held a very Interesting meeting at the Navy Yard Methodist church which was presided over by Mrs Wilson A number of soldiers were in attendance as well as residents of Warrington Avery Interesting talk was given by Mrs Annie Varnon Scripture quotations weer called for in which all were asked to take part A temperance reading entitled Three Homes was rendered with much feeling by Miss Lillian Garrett A very touching recitation was given by one of tho bright little girls Miss Ruth Cravy A beautiful solo was rendered by Mrs DuPre followed by a talk I from Mrs Herr The program was Interspersed with singing In which all joined heartily Thanks are due Mr Fox and the ladies of Warrington who so kindly cooperated in the evenings entertainment PERSONAL MENTION Postal cards received from Mr and airs Fleming Brawner who are now In Illinois indicate that the young people are having a delightful trip tMr Morris Bear has returned from a trip north which included French Lick Springs and Atlantic City Mrs Bear is still at the Iatt place I Hon Adolph Grenhut president of the city council has gone to New York to visit for ten days or two weeks Miss Celia Myrover Robinson has resigned her position on the staff of the Evening News to accept a position In the offices of the secretary I and general manager of the Tri County Fair Association Miss Robinson who has been a frequent contributor to the leading magazines will continue her literary work and expects to gradually extend it until it occupies her entire time
