YOUNG LIFE is a new Christian group involv ing high school students which began in Alexandria about a month ago. On April 30, the students met at the home of Dave Libler and were led in singing by Brachen McCurdy, pictured above. The group was begun by Anderson attorney Leslie Davisson. According to Davisson, Young Life is a non-denominational group which encourages students to attend church. Young Life was founded by Jim Rayburn in the Forties on the philosophy of reaching students on their own turf, and not at Sunday school.

Once per month the Alexandria group meets with a larger group of Young Life members in Anderson. In the other weeks the group meets at different houses. The group is currently collecting money to attend a summer camp at Frontier Ranch in Colorado. Last Saturday the group met at Beulah Park to paint in order to raise monev for the camp. The city supplied the paint.
