East Buffalo Livestock Indianapolis, May Hog prices advanced 5 cents at the Indianapolis livestock exchange today. Receipts, including 353 holdovers numbered 8,000 Bulk (170 to 300 lbs) hogs sold for $9.85. The top price paid was 10 Cattle receipts were estimated at 900 and calves receipts at 1,000. The markets closed steady and higher, respectively. Beef steers brought $11.50 to $14.10.

Vealers sold at $15 to $16 and heavy calves cleared the pens at $7 to $11. The sheep market closed steady. Receipts numbered 500. Hog receipts holdovers 353, market steady to five cents higher; 250 to 350 lbs $9.75 to $10; 200 to 250 lbs $9.85 to $10; 160 to 200 lbs $9.50 to 13G to 160 lbs $8.75 to 90 to 130 lbs $7.25 to packing sows $8.25 to $9.25.
