It 'A NEST FOR HER EGG' AT THE GRAND Stuart Ready, the local dramatist, has had man of his Plays presented in the roydon district by both professional and amateur groups, and his "one-act plays" have also been broadcast. The Croydon Repertory Players gave the first showing in this area of his drama "Manhandled" some months ago and it washweicomed by patrons with a taste for strong situations. They now have an opportunity to see the playwrights work in an entirely different field. "A Nest For Her Eggs" is merely a light-hearted frolic and in every way makes a complete contrast to his other play. "Celia" is an enterprising young woman with lots of debts and plenty of ingenuity.

The story tells of her endeavour to make a prosperous marriage: and the "man-trouble" she encounters when, instead of securing one elusive bridegroom. she finds herself faced with three and possibly more. Why the young Canadian didn't want to marry her, although attracted: why the second Canadian couldn't if be wanted to. and whether the retired Brigadier won her heart, are among the questions raised and humourously answered in next week's presentation at the rend Theatre.
