The main topic of discussion was the generating of bursary money which will go to high school graduates who have firm intentions on attending a school of nursing. Information letters will be sent to local high schools and to some schools of nursing.

The local RNABC chapter is arranging two events in which to generate bursary money. A bazaar will be held in June at the Cottonwood Mall. We are asking members to bring a parcel for "Life's Little Treasure." For more information members can contact Larry Whyte at 795-9961. Secondly, a dance is being planned for this fall. The annual convention for the RNABC will be held in Vancouver on UNDER NEW with a great staff to serve you! JUST IN TIME FOR LYNN DUNHAM Representing Chilliwack Delivery, 18-year old Lynn Dunham attends Sardis Secondary.

She enjoys dancing and writing poetry. She hopes to work In cosmetology. TRACY FORSYTH Tracy Forsyth represents the Southgate Shopping Centre. The 18-year old Sardla Secondary student enjoys horseback riding, skiing, dancing and modelling. She plans to become a veterinarian.

SPRING CLEAN UP CAMPAIGN Linn-Swinhoe wed Photo display Photographs by Leonard Frank, considered to be Canada's finest pioneer photographer, will be on display at the Chilliwack Museum through the end of April. Frank, an immigrant to Canada from northern Germany, arrived in Port Alberni in 1894 after a two-year stop in San Francisco. He operated a general store and post office on the Island until a chance win of a camera in a logging camp raffle launched him on a new career. UN week marked The District of Chilliwack, in cooperation with community groups, will be conducting a Spring Clean Up campaign from April 11th through April 15th, 1988.

Free dumping will be provided at the Bailey Sanitary Landfill for private cars and pickup trucks for the entire week from Monday, April 11, 1988 up to and including Saturday, April 16, 1988. Landfill operating hours are: MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Municipal crews will pick up large items placed on the roadside or lane through the week, on the following schedule, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday, April 11th City area east of Young to Prest; between Hope River and Highway No.

Chilliwack Recycling has bins for newspapers at the landfill and at various locations throughout the community. The recycling depot is located at 46191 Fifth Avenue. Newspapers and cardboard may be deposited there from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, and from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Saturday.

oscu Elaine Marie Swinhoe and Reginal Albert Linn were married in a double ring, candlelight ceremony at Evergreen Baptist Church in Chilliwack. Pastor Len Strelau officiated. The bride is the daughter of Rose Bousquet of Harrison Hot Springs and Robert Swinhoe of Victoria. The groom is the son of the late George and Hildur Linn. The bride's dress featured a Victorian neckline and full sleeves.

Pearl beadwork adorned the bodice and sleeves. The bride's sister, Linda Peterson of Edmonton, was the matron of honor. Cyndi Davies of Vancouver was the bridesmaid. The bride's nieces, Lana and Megan Peterson of Edmonton, were flowergirls. Darwin Gartner of Hope was the best man.

Groomsman was Gary Moore, also of Hope. The groom's son, Tyler Linn of Hope, was the ringbearer. Darwin Gartner acted master of ceremonies at a reception held at the Harrison Holiday Park Clubhouse. Ted Baier, the bride's uncle, proposed a toast to the bride. CALL: 792-1607 or 858-4945 The Chilliwack Chapter of the Soroptimists International celebrated United Nations Week with a program highlighting the hopes and problems of present-day South Africa. Special guests at the monthly dinner meeting of Soroptimist International of Chilliwack held at the Rainbow Country Inn were Pam and Allan Shearer. Both were residents of South Africa until their immigration to Canada, and now take great pride in leading tour groups through their land. Following a unique slide show, the Shearers answered questions about tours to this unique and beautiful part of the world, and about the serious political and social problems confronting the area. Coming events for Soroptimists International of Chilliwack include the annual Rummage Sale scheduled for Saturday (April 9) at Cooke's Presbyterian Church, 45825 Wellington, Chilliwack and the Woman of the Year Banquet to be held Wednesday, April 20.

After a wedding trip to the Oregon Coast, the couple plans to live in North Vancouver.
