Services will be held Monday, January 17, 2022, 2:00 p.m.

at the Roaring Springs Cemetery with Pastor Bob- by Holland officiating. A viewing will also be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, at the Caprock Cowboy Church, 302 FM 684, in Roaring Springs, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Colonial Funeral Home, Wichita Falls, Texas. Sybol was born April 24, 1929, in Dickens, Texas to Abbie Howard Maze and Ethel Lue Bell Maze.

She attended Roaring Springs High School. Sybol married Paul Nichols in 1946 and had two sons, Patrick and Pepper (William) Nichols. Paul passed away in July, 1960. Sybol and Banty (Fred Brandon were married in June, 1963 and the family grew to include Jan, Dan and Ann Brandon. Sybol possessed a happy, light-hearted spirit and loved to laugh.

She and her late husband Banty, were inseparable and best friends, spending many hours tending cattle together. Sybol was a wonderful cook, often feeding a houseful of cowboys, family and friends. Her annual batch of Texas Millionaires, peanut brittle and other goodies were greatly anticipated by all. You never left their home hungry. Sybol loved Roaring Springs and continued to live there after Banty passed in 2012.

Four years later, Sybol moved to Presbyterian Manor in Wichita Falls where she made many great friends. She and her best friend Earlene Pebworth, spent many happy days playing cards and bingo, as well as making the famous Christmas candy, gossiping, Walmarting and entertaining the Manor staff and residents with their antics. She will be missed by many. Sybol was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, Fred E. Brandon and Paul Nichols, her son Dan Brandon, four brothers, two sisters, and a grand- daughter Grace Nichols.

She will be missed by her four children: Jan Chadwick of Ashford, Alabama, Pat Nichols and wife Michele of Mesquite, Texas, Ann Armstrong and husband Robert of Escatawpa, Mississippi and Pepper (Wil- liam) Nichols and wife Andrea of Wichita Falls, Texas, as well as a multitude of grandchildren and great grandchildren. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.lunnscolonial.com Sybol Ray Maze Brandon LAKEWAY In Memory of Ruth Voncille Jacobi June 21st, 1930 December 16th, 2021 Ruth Voncille Jacobi passed away at her home in Lakeway, Texas on Thursday morning, December 16th, 2021, with her daughter, Mary Lane, and sons, Jeff and Jesse, by her side. Voncille was born in Electra, Texas on June 21st, 1930, the youngest child of Dewey Lee and Iva Belle (Ratcliffe) Dovel. Growing up in Electra, she attended and graduated from school there, leading a very active and social life.

As a child and young adult, she was a member of The First Christian Church of Electra, eventually serving as a pianist for the church. She graduated from Electra High School in 1947, where she was a member of National Honor Society, co-editor of the Bengal Yearbook, member of Quill and Scroll Society, regional debate team, Who in Speech, class officer, honorary Club mem- ber, president of the Choral Club, associate editor of Tiger Tales newspaper and fourth highest graduate of her class. In 1983, she was honored by the Electra Ex-Students Association as the Outstanding Woman Ex-Student during Homecoming festivities. In 1989, Voncille co-chaired the Electra Chamber of Com- Keep Texas Beautiful campaign, which won the Governor of Texas Community Achievement Award. She attended Hardin College for one year and completed studies at Business College.

She served as general accountant for the Dovel family grocery and market, as well as for the White Gold Dairy, which she helped establish with her husband, Joe. Voncille also received her Series 6 7 licenses from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority and was a licensed representative for Primerica. She later worked at Dorland Machine as a general accountant and computer operator, retiring from Flusche Supply in that same capacity in 2004. Voncille married her high school sweetheart, Joseph Richard Jacobi, in 1950 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church. Raising eight children in Electra, Voncille was an active member of St.

Catholic Church, teaching religious classes to various age groups. She was also active in Electra Little League, Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Electra Booster Club, Electra Music Club, Softball, Kid Football and PTA. Upon retirement, Voncille and Joe moved to Lakeway to be near family and became active members of the Church of the Resurrection of the Lord Em- maus Catholic Parish. They made many new friends who knew her by her first name, Ruth. Voncille and Joe celebrated 65 years of marriage until his passing in 2015.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; as well as her brothers, Dewey, Jr. and Bob; and her sister, Mary Agnes Crutchfield. Voncille is survived by seven sons; Joe and wife Linda, John and wife Sarah, Jim and wife Sherry, Jeff and wife Linda, Justin and wife Lisa, Jesse and wife Cindy, Josh and wife Karen; and by one daughter, Mary Lane Jacobi and Billy Goodwin. She is also survived by 15 granddaughters, 4 grandsons, and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Voncille was known to her many friends and her family as one of the most caring and optimistic people in their lives, with a sharp mind and incredible memory.

She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. A memorial service and mass will be held in Lakeway for Ruth Voncille on Saturday, January 22, 2022, at the Church of the Resurrection of the Lord Em- maus Catholic Parish, Lakeway, Texas, at with Father Samuel L. November 22nd, 1926 January 13th, 2022. Loyd Kenneth Morris passed from this life on January 13th, 2022 in Bowie, TX. He was born on November 22, 1926 to John Isaac Mor- ris and Alta (Davidson) Morris of Howe, TX.

Loyd married the love of his life, Monnie Bell Walker on November 25, 1945. Loyd was preceded in death by his beloved wife Monnie Belle (Walker) Morris on October 3, 2021, two infant children, Betty Lou Morris and Bruce Kenneth Morris, as well as his parents, and his sister Catherine Gunter of McKinney, TX. As a young man, Loyd faithfully served his country in the United States Army from 1945 to 1946. Loyd preached the gospel for over 60 years, serving congregations in Trenton, Blue Ridge, Saint Jo, Tom Bean, Henrietta, Lincoln Street church of Christ in Wichita Falls, Big Spring, Balch Springs, Pleasant Grove, Bowie, Sunset, and Forestburg. He retired one month before turning 90 years old.

Part of his ministry was a weekly radio program in Bowie on Sunday mornings from the until 2021. Loyd received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from National Christian University in Ft. Worth. Loyd worked as a Licensed Vocational Nurse at Parkland Hospital, Christian Care Center, and taught CNA students at nursing homes in Bowie, Nocona, and Henrietta. Loyd enjoyed his time making music at the Saint Jo Opry with the Country Cutups for approximately 20 years.

He was well-known at the Opry for his sense of humor; he especially loved telling Aggie jokes! Loyd was an amateur HAM radio operator. He was a longtime member of the Bowie Amateur Ham Radio Club, where he also taught Morse Code and tested the new operators. For his dedicated service, the Club granted him a lifetime membership. Loyd is survived by his three daughters Bonnie Helen Edes of San Angelo, TX, Bertha Ann Jones of Azle, TX, and Brenda Sue Doshier of Nocona, TX. His legacy will be carried on in his grandchildren Julie Mayfield, Anthony Edes (and wife Barbara), Heidi Blancarte (and husband Louie), and David Jones; his great grandchildren Cassidy Mayfield, Andrew Mayfield, Molly Edes, Lily Blancarte, Holly Blancarte; and great-great-grandaughter Ensleigh Edes.

Also surviving are sisters Lillian Venita Allison of Dallas, Susie Lorene Brown of Howe, Frankie Marie Ratcliff of Howe, Joan Margaret Cathey of Grand Prairie, and brother William Harvey Morris of Howe, as well as a host of extended family and friends. Loyd was a loving father, and a faithful Christian with the heart of a servant. His passing leaves us with sorrow here, but we know he has gone on to the reward Jesus established for him in heaven. funeral is set for Sunday, January 16, 2022, 2:00 PM at Church of Christ in Nocona. Visitation will be immediately before the funeral at 1:30 PM.

David Hall and Michael Windham will officiate, and John Morris, Jr. will lead singing. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Scott-Morris Funeral Home.
