Bishop Armstrong Speaks At Ministers' Meeting "Our task is to keep the lid on change. not, Shared responsibility must be our common challenge," Bishop James Armstrong of the Methodist Church in the Dakotas said here Wednesday. He made the statement be: fore a gathering of campus ministers from various denominations and their church leaders. On hand for the meeting, called especially to deal with the problems concerning college religious institutions, were presentatives the Lutheran, Congregational, Catholic, Presbyterian, Episcopalian and Methodist Churches. Church leaders in attendance were Armonglon; Dr.

E. O. Gilbertof the American Lutheran Church of South kota; Keith Orr, head of the United Presbyterian Church; Hubert Bahr, direction of education for the Congregational Church; Lyman G. Ogilby of the Episcopalian Church and Wesley Hunter and Orville Hepler, representing the United Church of Christ. This was the second meeting of a group of campus ministers, but the first time that church leaders had met with Pack-72 Awards are Presented Cub Scout Pack 72 held its May pack meeting and potluck recently, in the Holy Family Church basement.

Following the flag ceremony and potluck, Cubmaster Gene Voigt welcomed new cubs Sid Shoemaker and Mike Peschong and presented them with Bobcat pins. The cubmaster then presented the following awards: Bob Hanson, Bear badge and Gold Arrow under Bear; Ted Lobsiger, Gold Arrow and Silver Arrow under Welf: Lloyd Siberz, Wolf badge and Jeff Day, Bear badge. Receiving service stars were John Wiersma, Ted Lobsiger and Den Bob members Scott Johnson, Jeff Kimsey, Tim Stocking; Mike Pooley, James Kurtenbach and Mike Peschong entertained with a puppet show. Webleos awards were presented to John Pesicka, Scholar and Artist: Jim Marshall, Artists, Aquanaut, Geologist. The cubmaster presented Tom Day with a Den Chief cord, and on behalf of Webclos leader Robert Lobsiger, thanked him for his service with the Webelos den, Den Mother awards were presented to Mrs. Jerry Ripp and Mrs.

"The campus ministry is so often. misunderstood," said the Rev. Kenneth Kucin, director of the Newman Center at Dakota State College, Madison. Father Kucin said the purpose of Wednesday's meeting was to open communication channels between church leaders and campus ministers. Proceeds from the luncheon will used for a drapery fund for the main meeting room and dining room. The local YWCA was started in April of 1920. 'It was first located in what was known as the Foster home at 204 4th, providing cafeteria service; later moving to 121 N. Main, still providing cafeteria facilities.

In 1949 the YWCA took up residence in the City Hall, The present location, 201 W. 3rd. as R. Wells residence, was purchased in 1952. The main function of the YWCA is to be a service organization with a "civic for all ages.

Current membership is 275. It is the meeting place for some 4000 area residents and it londs a helping hand to girls wanting to locate in Mitchell. Many classes are held at the such as Spanish, lingerie, bridge, and knitting. The National YWCA was organized over 100 years ago. Mitchell's YWCA is one of four in the state; the others being at Sioux Falls, Huron, and Aberdeen.

Mrs. C. Nauman Rites Saturday Mrs. Charlotte Nauman, 79, of Mitchell and Gettysburg, died May 19 in a Rapid City hospital. Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m.

at the Langslet Mortuary in Gettysburg with the Rev. Russell Peirce officiatting. She was born April 19, 1891 in Clarion. Iowa. She married Ralph W.
