Bom in New York City, he was the son of the late Joseph and Ida Cramer Snyder and had resided in West Shokan for the past 40 years. Mr. Snyder had been in the restaurant business in West Shokan since 1933. His wife, the former Mabel Stewart, died in 1941. He was a member of the Olivebridge Methodist Church.
