Morrow, snlphur man. went out to the sulphur fields of. the West Texas Sul phur Co. February 22 to give the property a thorough inspection. This mine has been ehut down since the armistice, pending the readjustment of market conditions which would Justify resuming shipments.

The West Texas Sulphur Co. is right in the heart of the big field. which is 20 miles long and eight miles wide. The nearest railroad point is Or la, on the Santa Fe. and the northern tip of the deposit is within 30 miles of Carlsbad, ten miles more distant than is Orla from tbe main deposit.

There are several companies In the district, which include the West Texas, the Standard, the Southern. the Great Southern and others.
