Hazel Willis, Titonka, were Sunday dinner guests in the Johnny Spear home. After dinner they all drove over to Bancroft where they visited Mr. Robert Spear in the Heritage Rest Home. Mr. and Mrs.

John Rudisill of Woden were also there to visit Mr. Robert Spear. Mrs. Henry Smith entered the Kossuth County Hospital last Thursday with infection of the inner ear. She was released 'and came home Saturday, Mrs.

Jenny Wahlin of Titonka was a Friday visitor in the B.C. Schwietert home. Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Baum, Clear Lake, were Sunday dinner guest in the Schwietert home.

Debbie Nelson of Mason City and Reg Nelson of New Hampton spent the weekend in the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Verle Nelson. Mr. and Mrs.

Harold Fitch, Mrs. Larry Box, Darlene and Donnld. Renwick. Mr. and Mrs.

Grace Trenary, Marjory Mawdsley, Jo-Ann Carjson and Avis Christensen drove to Thursday afternoon where they attended the U.P.W. guest day at the Algona Presbyterian Church.

Recent visitors in the Lawrence anrr Vincent Govern home were Mae Murphy, Algona and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Murphy of Des Moines. Mrs. Korene Grosser and Shelly were Saturday visitors in the Govern home.

and Mrs. Joe Sleper of Titonka were Saturday evening visitors in the Govern home. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Sarchet, Mr.

and Mrs. Robert Sarchet, Burt, and Mrs. Roy Hougen, Algona, drove to Wpst Rend Sundav to spend the day in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Walter McCormick.

This was in honor of Mr. McCormick's birthday. Mr. McCormick and Mr. Robert Sarchet are cousins.

Mr. and Mrs. Harold Harms visited in the Jerry Harms home, Titonka, last Friday evening. Mr. and Mrs, Russell Roth and family, Buffalo Center, were Sunday afternoon visitors in the Harold Harms home.

Lloyd Zinnel, Cylinder. They were later visitors in the Richard Krause home, Lu Verne. Mr. and Mrs. Merle Halsrud were Thursday evening visitors of Mrs.

Oliver Lee, Bode. Wednesday, Mrs. Allen Struthers. Lucretia and Stephanie accompanied Allen as far as Roland to spend the day visiting Allen's sister, Virginia, Mrs. Arlan Anderson and twin suns as Allen went on to DPS Moines for an elevator meeting.

Mr. and Mrs. Percy Wat- nem were Sunday evening visitors of Mrs. Watnem's aunt. Laura Enger, Bode and Devere Newton, both Humboldt County Memorial Hospital patients.

UME Women; Society Circles III of the U.M.E. Women's Society met at the home of Dora Marty. Roll call was answered by t'itrht members. It was announced the next quilting day would be Feb. 23.

Doris Barber had devotions, "What Is and the lesson, "The Incomparable Christ." The next meeting will be at the home of Vera Wolf. Circle I of the U.M.E. Women's Society met Wednesday at the Fern Neal home. Gertie Hefti opened the meeting with ten members present. Devotions were given by Ollie Stoll on "Grace Of and the lesson, "Minutes And Hours Make Fine Gifts." A short skit was presented by Florence Stewart, Marian Marty and Margaret Lindebak on giving of pledges.

Luncheon was served by the hostess and the next meeting will be hosted by Margaret Lindebak instead of Marian Marty. Dan VerBruggee of Humboldt, a former classmate of the late Basil Koob in the Red School House at Dakota City, visited Mrs. Koob when he was in LuYerno Thursday. Paul Northrop returned Tuesday from Rochester, Minn, where he had major surgery at St. Mary's Hospital.

Mrs. Northrop stayed with him during the three weeks he was there. He is recuperating satisfactorily. Janine Michelle Block was born Feb. 4 to Sgt.
