Every one of our citizens should attend. A dastardly attempt to assassinate Sheriff Ramsay Saturday night, and se-curo their liberty, was planned by David Miller the condemned murder and two negroes awaiting trial for burglary. They took a leg off a table and awaited the coming of tho sheriff whose custom it was to lock them in the cage at bed time. One of the negroes concealed himself in the corner of tho jail and awaited tho opening or the door when tho sheriff discovered him in tituo to provent the carrying out of their plan to escape. i i.
