Chester and The Two Orphans On Thursday and Friday evenings the Home Dramatic Club will occupy the boards of the Salt Lake Theatre playing their new drama of Miss Chester and the farce of Box and Cox on the first named evening and reviving the first pieee in which they ever appearedThe Two Orphans especially for their Conference friends on Friday evening the 6th The Home Club has become so well known from its many excellent representations in the past that little need be said of the abilities of the organization at this time it is safe to say that the greatest reason for the popularitv this club enjoys will be found in the fact that they have just the necessary people to make up a strong cast of even excellence and nothing is so satisfactory to an audience as to witness a play in which all the parts are well sustained The two plays which the club now has under way will be cast from the following wellknown ladies and gentlemen Mr Wells Mr Spencer Mr Cummings Mr Young Mr Taylor Mr Dunbar Mr Banatt Mr Whitney Mr Manning Mr Brewer Mr Burroughs Miss Dwyer Miss Claridge Miss Clawson Mrs SnellMiss Eller beck Miss Genevieve and Florence Whitney and Miss Peterson With such a fund to draw from the successes of the club are no marvel The production of Miss Chester will follow in every particular the Lester Wallack version the fete scene in Florence the full dress costumes the duel in act II etc will all be from the original copy of the work Box and Cox will be done by Messrs Wells and Spencer and Mrs Snell Misses Druce and Olsen who have not yet appeared together before the public will sing a duett vrurcu Mr Stephens has written for the occasion in act II of the Two Orphans The full and complete Careless Orchestra which has not appeared in its entirety since the last large and intelligent audience assembled last evening at the Salt Lake Theatre to listen to a lecture on the Secrets of the Counting room delivered by that popular educator Professor Dwight Dow who has a national reputation for teaching bookkeeping upon a system peculiar to himself a sort of algebraic or shorthand method whereby he discards much of the rubbish and worthless intricacies of old systems He showed conclusively that any ordinary mind can grasp all the details of bookkeeping in a brief period with a moderate amount of attention to its principles as elucidated by his demonstrations After giving some blackboard explanations which drew forth much applause Mr Dow announced that he intended to commence the formation of his Salt Lake class this evening to which the presence of all interested are invited at the City Hallo Eye and Ear i The friends and patients of Dr Ira Lyons will doubtless be pleased to learn that in consequence of increasing 1 practice and
