Titonka Indian Tow Wow' Day Coming Next Monday Next Monday will be "Indian Day" at Titonka, the annual big celebration of that vicinity with all the trimmings. Indian Day has become one of the biggest days among the county celebrations, and always gets a good turnout. N., arrived last week Tuesday for a month's stay with her parents. Mr. and Mrs. James Kuchynka. She is assistant supervisor at the Mut- manah hospital, Portland, Oregon. Miss Olive Crossly of Ames was last week end guest at the Martin Molinder home. Vernon Thackrey of Armstrong is visiting at the home of his uncle. John Jongberg. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Atkey are parents of a son born July 29. They have another child*, a son. Mrs. Harry Lindie and daughter. Maxine. were at Storm Lake visiting the first part of last week. Maxine Erlckson returned to her nurses training at Mounds Park and Midway hospital, St. Paul, last Monday after three week's vacation at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Forest Erickson. Learn Relative is 111 Lakota: James and Samuel Warburton received word last week on Monday that their cousin, Harry Warburton, Yorkvlle, 111., was in St. Charles hospital in Aurora, 111., for a major operation. The men will go to be with him when word comes as to his condition. Laokta Methodist Ladies' Aid Meets Lakota: Mrs. George Winter was hostess to the Methodist Aid at her home last week Wednesday for the monthly business meeting. Attend Funeral Mr. and Mrs. Philip Thornton and little sons spent Wednesday night with Mrs. Thornton's patents, Mr. and Mrs. W. Z. Miller. Mr. and Mra. Thornton left Thursday for Austin Minn., to attend the funeral of Mr. Thornton's grandmother, which was held there. The children stayed at the Miller home.
