Washington Railway and Electric preferred was In good de mand, odd lots totaling thlrtr-two shares selling at 70, which Is a decline of one point. Washington Gas fell of a quarter of a point today In the asking price, the stock now being offered at 53 Vi- Total sales on the exchange for the week ending November 10.

Instead of a ten or twelve-foot figure, originally plan ned, will be Installed In the Interior of the 12,000,000 Lincoln Memorial In Potomac Park, It was announced to day. The Lincoln Memorial Commission decided to enlarye the statue design after a study of the completed Interl or of the memorial showed that the statue In Its old proportions would be too small to bear Its proper pro portions to the building Itself.

Dsnlel Chester French, who was al. loted $45,000 to execute ths marble statue of Lincoln will be given larger fee out ot the appropriation already provided. It will take a year to complete the statue. Jules Guerln has begun work on the allegorical palotjng In the Interior of the memorial. Work on the concrete approaches to the building Is being continued.

It will be another year, however, before the memorial reaches the stage of final completion, and Is rcsdy for dedication. Changes In tho Lincoln statue design were approved at a meeting of the Lincoln memorial commission here yesterday, which was attended by former President Taft. chairman.
