Pennington of Bronson and Rev. Guy H. Wimmer, pastor of the Uniontown Baptist church, closed Sunday night with a splendid showing of 46 converts. STONY POINT. The New Year was ushered in with thunder and lightning and about an inch of rain. There was joy and merriment with a good many Christmas but there was sorrow and sadness a good many homes on account of so much sickness; and many deaths. Wayne Thompson's family' SOUTH FAIRVIEW. Odie Pool was able to 'go to Bronson Monday.

The rest of the Pools are improving. Edith expects to go home Wednesday. Glenn Elliott was taken very sick with blood poison Saturday caused from a small sore on his knee which was hurt about a week ago. He was quite sick till Sunday night but is improving now. Dr.

Lambeth attended him. A party was given at Mr Perry's last Wednesday night in honor of Misses Ethel Perry and Lenna Brown. On account of sickness and bad roads, several did not get to attend. A Leap Year party was given at MrsO. V.

Rogers Saturday nightv The boys report a good time. Archie Burt of Blue Mound visited in our neighborhood Friday night and Saturday. Win Perry was called to Linn county last Thursday by the serious illness of a sister who died Saturday night. We were indeed shocked when the news came Wednesday night that Arlie Drake of the Bethel neighborhood had died of blood poison. The sympathy of all go out to the bereaved family who had to part with such a dear one.
