Andrew H. Schmidt has moved here from Gooding, Idaho, and Bruce L. Schmalz came from Yakima, Wash. Schmidt has been employed as an engineer with the soil conservation service for 11 years. Before I coming to Idaho Falls, he worked 1 17 months with the conservation irrigation program in the Gooding area.

Previous to coming to Idaho, I hr worked at Grand Junction, in irrigation aid range improvement work. Schmidt saw 414 service in World War II, including 15 months overseas. Prior to that, he worked two years with the CCC program in New Mexico and Utah. Schmidt was reared in central Oregon and graduated in agricultural engineering from Oregon State college in 1937. Schmalz graduated from the Utah State Agricultural college In 1939 with a major In aoila.
