The executive board will elect officers at its next session in July. Zone Change Being Sought By Synanon Synanon Foundation, has petitioned for a change of zone for its Marconi property at Marshall. The narcotics addict treatment group asked that its land along with the property retained by the former owner, Carlos Fernandez, be changed from interm zoning to multiple residential and resort-commercial- recreation zoning, a new classification. Synanon had earlier said that it did not need to apply for a use permit to continue operation of its treatment center at Marshall. The county planning staff contended the group did have to apply.

A court decision is still pending on the issue. Hearing on the application for the zone change has been scheduled for June 21.
